Grew tired of her character long ago. My rank speculation is that John knew this was coming, allowed it to happen, but set something in motion first that will be revealed later, maybe in the final episode.
  2. Agreed. Can we please beat the land thieves first?
  3. No, actually, you were not. I was.
  4. Dan Patrick said on his show a few weeks ago that he got a call from Sandler and Sandler told him he was going to be in the movie.
  5. Terrible, tragic accident. I read a few of the articles, and it does not appear there were any witnesses. I'm curious if there were criminal charges filed in Travis County against the driver. With that said, Texas law says that pedestrians must walk on the sidewalk and not in the street if there is one. Sec. 552.006. USE OF SIDEWALK. (a) A pedestrian may not walk along and on a roadway if an adjacent sidewalk is provided and is accessible to the pedestrian. (b) If a sidewalk is not provided, a pedestrian walking along and on a highway shall walk on the left side of the roadway or the shoulder of the highway facing oncoming traffic, unless the left side of the roadway or the shoulder of the highway facing oncoming traffic is obstructed or unsafe. (c) The operator of a vehicle emerging from or entering an alley, building, or private road or driveway shall stop and yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian approaching on a sidewalk extending across the alley, building entrance or exit, road, or driveway. I did not know this until a client of mine was sued for hitting a pedestrian while he was driving and on the way to take his daughter to school. My client says (and no, I wasn't there so hell I don't know) the pedestrian was not on the sidewalk, was walking near the curb with his back to my client, then sort of stepped out in front of my client's car. He hit the pedestrian with his side view mirror. Pedestrian had a fractured wrist. I am NOT commenting or in any way suggesting this couple did anything wrong. I obviously have no idea what they saw, were doing, if the sidewalk was blocked, or what the truck driver guy was watching or doing. Merely commenting that I was surprised to learn that Texas law says a pedestrian may not walk on the roadway if a sidewalk is provided and accessible. I also did not know that if a sidewalk is not available, that Texas law says a pedestrian shall walk on the left side of the roadway facing the oncoming traffic. Regardless, I cannot imagine the pain of the family in dealing with a situation like this incident.
  6. I am going to respectfully disagree with this take. And I was without power in Houston for 8 days and at the office for 6 days.
  7. https://www.chron.com/weather/article/hill-country-rain-lake-levels-19594229.php "Levels at Lake Travis could rise by as much as five feet." We'll see.......
  8. I was there about a month ago and saw a diamondback making its way along the trail.
  9. Omar Uresti T10 after two round in the US Senior Open. Yeah, I know. It's early. But that's some pretty good golfin' right there.
  10. Books are good. Worth the read. Seem to recall somewhere on the internets (so it has to be true) that the Swedish version of the movies stuck to the books but the version with Mara did not.
  11. It's early, but let's just say we had a good first day. Hit it where they mow boys.
  12. Bumping this thread. We're doing an Athens - Athens cruise for our 35th wedding anniversary. We are not stopping in Santorini or Milos. Once back in Athens, we'll have four days and three nights before our flight back from Athens. Try to hit both Santorini and Milos? This will be end of October so we will not have the summer crowds. We'll be in Athens for three days and two nights before we get on the boat.
  13. Pretty hard to blame that on our pitching (which as admittedly sucked ass).
  14. Nope. Wasn't smart enough to figure that out truthfully.
  15. Anybody ever made the drive from DTW to Ann Arbor the morning of an 11:00 am kickoff?
