  1. Man, I don't see how any team can win a national championship if they have all this . . .

Yeah, my guess is that they somehow find a way for all or most of it to be in the hands of the Indian Tribe and the rest of the crew heads to Texas.

Based on the last three episodes, I'm guessing she's going to be in some "let's take the audience back in time and show them what happened" scenes.
  6. Had dinner last night at Ocean 44. Outstanding in all aspects. Sat at the bar with Mrs. Smwhorn (sorry, no pics, I'll cut you, man). Great drinks. Great service. Great atmosphere. Even better food. Played both Talking Stick courses. Both are worth it. Casino is shit. It was clean and not all that smoke filled but I could not believe how crowded it was. There were literally no tables last night after we got back from dinner where there was more than one seat at the table. Most tables were completely full. Sportsbook was packed. Lost both the over at 47.5 and the -18.5. Won Auburn +1.5.
  7. We have dinner reservations at Ocean 44. Looking forward to it.
  8. Thanks. According to the internets (including Golf Digest), the courses at Talking Stick are pretty good. Yes, I know they aren't Troon North or Greyhawk, but I was surprised at how often they were ranked in "top ten public courses in Scottsdale" when I was snooping around on social media.
  9. Headed there soon. Looks like plenty of casinos. Any recs on places to game?

Grew tired of her character long ago. My rank speculation is that John knew this was coming, allowed it to happen, but set something in motion first that will be revealed later, maybe in the final episode.
  11. Agreed. Can we please beat the land thieves first?
  12. No, actually, you were not. I was.
  13. Dan Patrick said on his show a few weeks ago that he got a call from Sandler and Sandler told him he was going to be in the movie.
  14. Terrible, tragic accident. I read a few of the articles, and it does not appear there were any witnesses. I'm curious if there were criminal charges filed in Travis County against the driver. With that said, Texas law says that pedestrians must walk on the sidewalk and not in the street if there is one. Sec. 552.006. USE OF SIDEWALK. (a) A pedestrian may not walk along and on a roadway if an adjacent sidewalk is provided and is accessible to the pedestrian. (b) If a sidewalk is not provided, a pedestrian walking along and on a highway shall walk on the left side of the roadway or the shoulder of the highway facing oncoming traffic, unless the left side of the roadway or the shoulder of the highway facing oncoming traffic is obstructed or unsafe. (c) The operator of a vehicle emerging from or entering an alley, building, or private road or driveway shall stop and yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian approaching on a sidewalk extending across the alley, building entrance or exit, road, or driveway. I did not know this until a client of mine was sued for hitting a pedestrian while he was driving and on the way to take his daughter to school. My client says (and no, I wasn't there so hell I don't know) the pedestrian was not on the sidewalk, was walking near the curb with his back to my client, then sort of stepped out in front of my client's car. He hit the pedestrian with his side view mirror. Pedestrian had a fractured wrist. I am NOT commenting or in any way suggesting this couple did anything wrong. I obviously have no idea what they saw, were doing, if the sidewalk was blocked, or what the truck driver guy was watching or doing. Merely commenting that I was surprised to learn that Texas law says a pedestrian may not walk on the roadway if a sidewalk is provided and accessible. I also did not know that if a sidewalk is not available, that Texas law says a pedestrian shall walk on the left side of the roadway facing the oncoming traffic. Regardless, I cannot imagine the pain of the family in dealing with a situation like this incident.
