  1. Agree, the bullshit investigations and constant attacks sunk her. She was and is an incredibly accomplished person.
  2. My comment was directed at Wulaw criticizing black Democratic voting. Third party nonsense is just absolutely ridiculous.
  3. Have you ever considered they’re voting for what they believe is in their best interest?
  4. I hope you’re right. Anecdotally, my experience has been much different. So much so, I’ve seen non-political moms become involved in a way that damn sure doesn’t appear to be helping Dems. The fact that Repubs are pushing the issue indicates to me they have some data supporting this narrative. Blame the educators and “elites” while conveniently flogging an issue they have no intention of tackling is an incredibly effective political tactic for Repubs.
  5. I don’t think any schools will reopen which will create frustration. I don’t think Repubs want schools to reopen while they flog the issue. I may be off on this issue but I’ve seen some serious anger out there and I think Dems will he held responsible.
  6. I’m concerned about the schools reopening issue with suburban moms. Repubs positioning themselves as the “open” party (no matter how disingenuous) has clearly become a major electoral issue. They’ll hammer this until election.
  7. Look, there is only so much one can be outraged about. Russiagate is the hill to die on...
  8. I’d only agree to debate if my opponent actually debated. There is no reason to debate Trump.
  9. That’s so true. Typically the CLEAT lawyer responds to the actual scene of the police shooting.
  10. He’s right, it’s not even close.
  11. That’s true but it fits the pattern of his life. Arrogantly con his way into something he doesn’t understand, completely fuck it up, then move onto the next con.
  12. I think it’s pretty tough to make a definitive call one way or the other with the current information. I’ll say this, I’d be curious just what the driver was doing down there. Was he looking for a fight? Did he have his pistol at the ready? All relevant questions when asking whether his choice to use lethal force was reasonable and necessary.
  13. Fair enough but I was talking about American domestic terrorism.
  14. Had this same discussion on the football board a few weeks ago. Johnny Sack and crew do not believe right wing terrorism exists.
  15. Didn’t expect Kim Olson to get smoked like that. She’s a good candidate, hopefully she finds another race.
  16. Did you consider the fact that McDougal spent 2 years in prison or no?
  17. I don’t think Biden should debate him. I don’t think anyone should debate Trump. Trump doesn’t debate at all, so why give him the audience? I don’t think it’ll matter.
  18. That’s true but I have to think that opinion burned enough Judges asses on the DC court to warrant a rehearing. If nothing else but to keep the peace.
  19. JBJ, Much better explanation than mine.
  20. Judge Sullivan’s lawyers make a very compelling argument. The grant of mandamus in this fashion is not only unprecedented, it’s completely bizarre. Essentially, Flynn’s attorneys asked the DC Court to rule on an issue that was not fully resolved. It’s the type of thing that on its face is wrong (assuming we’re following precedent). I think the DC court will hear it again and deny mandamus. It’ll get sent back to the court for Judge Gleason to do his briefing. The guv may still get their motion to dismiss granted (Gleason finds no error) but they aren’t going to do it by mandamus.
