5 fairways for tiger today. Shoots 76 and probably misses the cut. Looked like the back was acting up.

It was a bad day for Tiger, maybe even worse news for him is that IMO it is likely that afternoon plays no better and the cutline moves to +3 and Tiger does play the weekend.

Picked up a bit of TSLA at $1498 with my ALT profits. Never been more nervous making a purchase. I have no fucking clue what it can do.

old school #stonk investing - TSLA has been a stonk since it went public

ALT dropped as low as $11 (for a nanosecond) in AH and is currently at $25.  Somebody got a screaming deal and has doubled their money.  Here's the reason for the drop.  May consider selling at $50....or may watch it go to 100+ because STONKS.

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/altimmune-announces-proposed-public-offering-200100632.html

I understand why some people balked at the ALT action yesterday, but IMO the stonk price reacted to the offering and not the overall vaccine news. The offering was priced at about $23, so that could be the floor, unless other news drops.  I expect it will drop again today at the open, and then let's see what happens. If I've read the offering correctly (more like scanned), the it is about 5% of shares outstanding, and provides working capital; not significant dilution -so I'm going to hold and see what happens with further vaccine development and await more news before jumping off.
But make no mistake, this is a #stonk investment, not looking to add ALT as a long-term core holding.

I'm not really an advocate of day trading, but damn ALT seems to dip right at the open everyday as it has gone from what $12-$30.
There is a lot of cash to be made if you trust in doing that.....hmmmmm

Well today might not be the best day to do this - ALT announced they are selling convertible warrants that can become 1.6 million common shares at (I think) the equivalent price of $21.62/share. So that will drive the pricing for a little while

    PROSPECTUS SUPPLEMENT

(To prospectus dated April 12, 2019)

    3,369,564 Shares of Common Stock

Pre-Funded Warrants to Purchase 1,630,436 Shares of Common Stock

    LOGO

We are offering an aggregate of 3,369,564 shares of our common stock, par value $0.0001 per share, and, to certain investors in lieu thereof, pre-funded warrants to purchase 1,630,436 shares of our common stock, or the Pre-Funded Warrants, in this offering.

The purchase price of each Pre-Funded Warrant equals the public offering price per share of common stock, minus $0.0001, and the exercise price of each Pre-Funded Warrant equals $0.0001 per share. The Pre-Funded Warrants are exercisable at any time, provided that each Pre-Funded Warrant holder will be prohibited from exercising such Pre-Funded Warrants into shares of our common stock if, as a result of such exercise, the holder, together with its affiliates, would own more than 4.99% of the total number of shares of our common stock then issued and outstanding, which percentage may change at the holders’ election to any other number less than or equal to 19.99% upon 61 days’ notice to us. This prospectus supplement also relates to the offering of the shares of our common stock issuable upon exercise of such Pre-Funded Warrants.

Our common stock is currently listed on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol “ALT.” On July 13, 2020, the last reported sale price of our common stock on the Nasdaq Global Market was $25.00. There is no established public market for the Pre-Funded Warrants, and we do not intend to list the Pre-Funded Warrants on the Nasdaq Global Market, any other national securities exchange or any other nationally recognized trading system.

Investing in our common stock involves a high degree of risk. You should review carefully the risks and uncertainties described under the heading “Risk Factors” on page S-10 of this prospectus supplement, and under similar headings in the documents that are incorporated by reference into this prospectus supplement and the accompanying prospectus.

I'm about to have to take the loss like a pussy. If this market is going to run based on just a piece of MRNA phase I results, they will be able to trickle out that sort of stuff for the next 3 months and keep goosing it.  The influx of cash into everything, GS printing money. Fuck it, reality based thinking put me on the wrong side of this train.

So...expect a major correction after I dial down the shorting.

    Over? Did you say over?
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  Hell, no...

Here is the body cam video, which the sheriff dept released yesterday (spoilering because you can see someone being shot)
Also looks like her weapon jammed

Just stop.  This isn't the fucking cloak room where you can spin your yarn of false equivalencies and straw-men arguments without push-back.  For the fourth fucking time.  You were not there.  Neither were we, but it seems a good example of where interjecting yourself into the lives of others includes a substantial amount of risk.

The real question is where is the "let is slide" line?
There are many scenarios that can be invented to show either side has taken more risk, but seriously telling someone they need to wear a mask, in a state where it is now required to wear a mask in a public place doesn't seem like he is telling the guy to go fuck himself.
Is it more of a risk that driving on public roads, or crossing the street - well if you believe in outcome based answers then clearly it was a much higher risk. Seems to me that saying something shouldn't be such a risk that you have to let it slide. I get it that people can tell me to fuck off, or mind my own business - it isn't like I'm road raging against them, but sometimes things need to be checked or have Americans lost their backbone?

Should it be a life or death decision to make a comment in public - there is no report of an argument, or yelling - but that old guy said he needs to wear a mask & got stabbed for it.
To bad we don't have a local expert on this to talk about the stabbers perspective - didn't Capt'n BBQ Stabby post as @shoelessjoe? Did he not make the move over from the shitty board?

Ok, got out at 16.50, so realized a 400 profit on a 1250 investment.  Then ALT blew through the roof again, so I left profit on the table.

Holy shit at the ALT options in August, September, and December.  If anything, they are more $$$.

I'd buy the $30 strike.  You may get 2 of them

Best thing I've done in a long time was after I took some profits on ALT stock, to reinvest that into 12/18 $7.50 calls - I've cashed out all of my original investments, have $2K in cash and I'm sitting on the remainder of the calls.

VXX is the dumbest trading instrument ever conceived. I can’t imagine playing options on that piece of shit.

    good point
Immediately, I go and check out VXX and the options strings. Because #stonklife and what could go wrong.

The "correct" way to play VXX options is a straddle, right? So you don't care if it goes up or down, just that it goes???

  11. Mask wearing, and such is serious shit here in Michigan

Only a few miles from my house this morning - Old guy tells a younger guy he needs to wear a mask going into a convenience store (think Circle K or 7-11) and Old guy gets stabbed. Younger guy flees the scene, cops get the plate and find him on a residential street, dude comes at the deputy with the knife and gets shot.....shot dead.

I have friends who live on the street where the shooting occurred, it is a pretty nice neighborhood; well pretty nice for this area.
