  1. For anyone asking themself how we got here and if you think it is just about the other side, consider they think it is about you
  2. Fuck yeah- MACtion This is what November Tuesday's are all about
  3. I can fuck up the stock market by making my options plays, no way in hell I'm going to get involved in the political options market You are all welcome.
  4. You might want to move this thread/post to another more private spot: then you could release the Kraken. Just saying cat facts, and other remedies still exist.
  5. LOfuckingL Old Man posts about a football team that was last relevant on the national stage 25 years ago. More news at 10.
  6. Joey Freshwater gonna celebrate tonite
  7. Well in all honesty, he has to blame someone when he gets destroyed; and it isn't like he is going to look in a mirror and suddenly figure out who is really guilty.
  8. Glancing at a couple of national news sites, and I get really pissed when they talk about national polling numbers. The only numbers that matter (polling or in the actual election) are the state polls that then add up to the electoral college. And what bothers me the most is the simpletons who use those polls to support that the election is stolen if their candidate doesn't win (decide for yourself which idiot simps I am describing)
  9. The Standard & Poor's Depositary Receipts were launched by Boston asset manager State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) on January 22, 1993, as the first exchange-traded fund in the United States (preceded by the short-lived Index Participation Shares that launched in 1989); and are part of the SPDRs ETF chain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPDR_S%26P_500_ETF_Trust
  10. Old man statement follows....read at your own peril. For the life of me, I cannot imagine, as a teen/young adult riding in a car with no driver. There was nothing better than the freedom to go where I wanted and to be in control of my destiny. Sometimes pushing the limits of a car, or my ablity, but hey I'm still here and nobody was injured (except for maybe some mental scarring) by my youthful actions. I know kids these days don't care about driving as much, as they'd much rather be on their phone. But to go to a driverless car society will be a huge change; and I realize it is coming and that it is likely a safer environment as cars don't make many of the mistakes drivers make. End of rant, now I will go out to check the mail to see if my Sears & Roebuck catalog has arrived.
  11. market saved - purchased my first SPY puts this year 1-31-25 expiry, that give time for all the post election dumbfuckery to occur
  12. I'm sure they will put up banner, next to their football national championship banners
  13. Stolen from Reddit - Orange toupee man depicted without Orange and without toup IMO this looks like a Rush Trump mashup
  14. Voted yesterday, less than 10 minutes.
  15. Wait, you can get warnings and Internet point deductions.....I haven't been trying hard enough.
  16. your overall point was 100% correct; it was hard due to the limits, small company match (I think it was 50% of the first 5 or 6% for quite a while, but the worst was the limited investments to choose from and the ability to change investments only quarterly or semi-annually). Investments were typically mutual funds from big companies, with very limited options.
  17. would have loved to see LSU win that game, know a couple of people who played there....but I can't stand Kelly so fuck that guy (and it isn't like Aggie is really going to win out, it is fun to watch that coaster get higher and higher and you just know it is gonna crash. As we all know this reaches it height in October, as well documented below)
  18. I had 401k way before 1994, at least the mid 80s. Looking it up section 401(k) of the IRS code was written and approved in 1976, but it wasn't until 1980 that it was first implemented. I know that by 1986 I was in a 401K, and all of them were rolled into a rollover IRA sometime before 1990. Also here is a quote from the IRA wiki page - Traditional IRAs were introduced with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and made popular with the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981.
  19. Dimes are the best because placed properly FDR will ensure that your ball will track all the way to the hole. This is why he is the greatest president in US history
  20. Don't fall for this trap. Look at the history of the 1/2 cent coin. Last minted in 1857, average condition 1/2 cents are with about $75, and can run up above $1,000. Don't get rid of your 1 cent coins, will them to you great-great-great-great-great-great grand kids. They will thank you, or at least the memory of you.
