  1. No it's absolutely the answer. It can be accomplished one of two ways. 1. Ask Sark to tank so we can fire him, seems like a reasonable request. 2. Have boosters/former players/alum talk shit about Sark to the recruits so they don't come here. I am a fan of the 2nd way as any good coach would love to come to a university that purposefully undermined it's last coach. Also, they will be excited to coach terrible players from our shitty classes.
  2. The portal should be better for us this season as we can actually sell that we need new players and if you are a stud on a lower tier team you can get playing time and national exposure. If it's not then we are in big trouble.
  3. We lost all momentum with the 5-7 finish. If we could have flipped that to 7-5 he could have sold "the roster sucks, but we still won 7 and I am going to purge the deadweight." He can gain momentum next year by purging the roster and finishing with 7 or more wins. Six or fewer we might as well fire him.
  4. Maybe a donor tried to say a white player should start. That's a huge maybe. If true, Sark most likely told them to fuck off, and with him being married to a black woman probably said it in those words or harsher.
  5. The last 3 QBs are NFL starters. Is that "average post college, QB Talent"?
  6. How did you convince anybody to invest in a venture that you are in charge of?
  7. He died this year actually and he hadn't worked at the Rose in a long time.
  8. Adidas/UA would love it if Phil Knight used Nike to get NIL contracts for Oregon players that aren't national stars. You think all the Nike schools would stick with them for uniforms/merch if Nike was giving Oregon such an advantage? It's one thing to build facilities using Knights wealth, it's another to pay players (legally or illegally). That's why shareholders and the execs/board would never go along with it. It would cause a loss in revenue for the company.
  9. Is Wiltfong's source JJ Henry and did he just compliment himself in the third person?
  10. So if we stopped getting top flight players and cease to be ever be a competitive football team, it's your position that the revenue would continue at the same level?
  11. That's essentially how any interaction in society works. Those with power dictate terms. Your employer tells you how to act. Whether they have enough power to make their demands is the deciding factor if something happens. Since the players bring in a lot of revenue, I'm going to guess that almost all the demands will be met. Also who is the "them" they telling how to act? I doubt CDC or Hartzell give a shit about keeping anything the same.
  12. They are giving them a choice. The administration can choose to go whichever way they want, but there are consequences to the decision.
  13. Actually it would be absurd if they were 40 yr olds. 18-20 yr olds probably don't understand what needs to happen to get these things done and if history is any guide they are being wary of those in charge offering platitudes to appease them while hoping this will blow over.
  14. I'd say when it comes to the issues of equality and justice. I'd generally pick the 18-22 year olds position over the rich white old donors.
  15. He oversaw the passage of the first Jim Crow laws in Texas.
  16. So I am bad at math. Also just looking at elite speed WRs he does not compare favorably at the 200m. ~4 secs behind Tyreek Hill, Randy Moss, etc... vs their hs 200m . Not expecting him to be comparable but brings it into better focus for myself. So we are hoping he is crisp at routes and a good possession receiver.
  17. His 200m time converted to 40 yd dash would be sub 4.4. does it just take him a while to accelerate but he has extremely high end speed when he gets to it? Or am I bad at math?
  18. It's pretty obvious that A&M has better options now so they pulled his offer
