  1. If Big 12 if full of mediocre teams then how come a barely mid tier Texas took the SEC West champ LSU down to the wire?
  2. Why do you think that is? Why does a university from a state with a population less than half of Dallas Fort Worth have so much clout? Whereas Texas and others do not?
  3. Wtf are you talking about? Why does every stupid poster keeps spreading this stupid reason? Texas athletic revenues were 212 million last year, Ohio state and Aggy were also around 210 and 205 million. OU and Bama had revenues of 185 million. Texas isn't making way more money by any stretch of the imagination but sure as hell losing a lot more. This we're the Joneses needs to die because when you make almost the same amount of money as everyone else and lose a lot more the meme should be we're the Losers. With a capital L.
  4. Good News: Brewer is hurt and in the locker room. Bad News: Sam is still healthy and playing.
  5. Almost because no crotch grabbing.
  6. I mean is it any worse looking than those Scions or Cruisers or Fiats out there?
  7. You realize that Rice, University of Florida and UCLA feel the same way about Texas?
  8. They could be part of a good short term strategy if you aren't diversified or want to create a better return.
  9. You mean screaming off the edge of Fiji.
  10. I'll simplify it for you: A typical derivative contract is composed of 100 shares so 4000 contracts X 100 shares = 400,000 share equivalent. The party bought 400,000 share call option for a specific strike price and strike date at 25 cents/share = $100,000. At one point today that same contract was worth $8 due to the price spike due to the news of TDA acquisition so: 400,000 shares X $8 = $3,200,000. I did leave out some information in my post earlier so if you aren't familiar with derivatives and how they work it could be confusing and cause a headache. Hopefully this helps.
  11. Someone bought 4000 contracts of TDAmeritrade call options in October at $0.25/contract. So....their $100,000 is worth $3,200,000 today.
  12. He has done better than almost every WR on that list not named DeVonta Smith and CeeDee Lamb.
  13. Real estate will have some value but usually that is never considered in the EBITDA multiple when buying and selling restaurants. That's because retail real estate isn't priced per sqft but priced how much rent one is willing to pay and what sort of a return a said investor(typically a REIT) is willing to accept since those properties are rarely owned by operators/owners of those restaurants. So to answer your question there is some value in the retail real estate but in a small town unless you can replace a DQ with another concept that is going to do equal or better in revenue and indirectly generate equal or better rent via occupancy cost, those locations are may or may not be valuable.
  14. It typically will go off of EBITDA multiple, the higher the EBITDA the higher the multiple. Most DQs are struggling I presume that have revenues under $750K. They are all losing money, a lot of money. Having said that, I wouldn't buy one even if someone handed the keys to me.
