  1. 2 strings too many, but I do have a Daphne Blue thing in the works. I am learning patience grasshopper. #TeamFenderPastel
  2. Can one of you please buy this and post pics of it every week? TIA https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/fender-parallel-universe-tele-magico-transparent-daphne-blue?ct=t(shop-fender-4-5-21)&goal=0_63363c100e-216f802205-264034749&mc_cid=216f802205&mc_eid=0e77883836
  3. Again, it is not the government. It is private companies. This isn't a "papers please" situation. People volunteer to get extensive background checks to qualify for TSA pre-check and avoid the longer lines/shoe removal hassle at the airport. It's not required, but people give up personal information for a perceived benefit. Is that the airlines doing government bidding? Schools require up to date vaccinations to re-enroll. Kids on sports teams have to get a physical and release that information to play HS football. We voluntarily provide health information all of the time because the benefits outweigh the perceived risks/concerns. Why is this now, such a big deal? I'm sorry, but this just seems like such a weird hill to die on. If you don't want the vaccine, cool. If you want to get the vaccine but don't want anyone to know, cool. If I choose to do both, why do you care? I honestly can't imagine what my most despised politician would do with my vaccine status information that would cause me harm.
  4. Are you seriously in the field of medicine? This is not even in the same ballpark of discussion. If someone is HIV or Hep C positive, they should absolutely disclose that to anyone they could potentially infect before they engage in sexual activities/needle sharing etc. That's just basic common decency for a fellow human. It's also the law in several states. I am sure you would be plenty upset if one of your patients was HIV+ and purposely lied to you about their status after you got a needle stick or eye splash while caring for them. The HIPPA/personal health info arguments amuse me too. People can voluntarily allow anyone to have access to their healthcare information. If you allow the surgeon to talk with your wife about how the procedure went, it doesn't violate HIPPA. Showing your vaccine passport to avoid an unnecessary COVID test or quarantine with travel would be exactly that. Voluntary disclosure. People have the right to skip the vaccine. Businesses have the right to afford privileges to people who choose to become vaccinated and voluntarily disclose that information for said benefits. The Miami Heat just want to generate ticket sales. If a vaccine allows them to put 200 people in a section vs 30, go for it. If you don't want the vaccine or don't want your medical information disclosed, go sit in section 220 instead. Your body, your choice. Their arena, their choice. Now, if they do decide to allow a group sex event in the American Airlines Arena, they should probably ask for the HIV ID that you propose.
  5. Silicone sticky pads for the bottom to keep it from sliding? Maybe just a wood base with rubber feet? For just one pedal, I don't know that I would mess with a whole board. Or you could just go with:
  6. Please don't be an early April Fools joke. https://www.premierguitar.com/news/acorn-amps-f-face-fuzz
  7. I've been in the same boat looking at Stingers. Kia dealerships have really taken the standard crappy dealership experience to the next level. It's a compelling car, but if Kia corp doesn't get a handle on this, it is going to smother a bunch of potential sales. I have come to the conclusion that Carvana/Vroom may be the best way to go. Get a car still under warranty and then compare the Kia warranty vs Carvana's extended warranty if I have concerns beyond the initial milage. Both Carvana and Vroom can get you a quick and easy upfront offer on the V with a few pics and a few questions answered. They were miles above what I could get for my Wrangler trying to sell it myself locally or the trade in offers. There is a 2020 GT1 on Carvana now for $41,5XX less than 7K miles
  8. One final comment on size. You will get used to whatever you go with. A little bigger is way better than too small. You don’t want to look like Trump and his ladies watch on the golf course. That’s not a political comment. Regardless of your R or D status, that thing is an abomination.
  9. Along the Omega Aqua Terra lineup, this is available at 38mm https://www.crownandcaliber.com/products/omega-seamaster-aqua-terra-220-10-38-20-03-001-10-10-ome-u0zq2v
  10. Agree with the above comments regarding lug and bezel size and how "big" the watch will look. Try a few on and see what works for you. Crown and Caliber is another trusted online used watch source. The 1st Seamaster you posted looks outstanding. Have you considered Grand Seiko? Thin bezels and smaller sizes are available across their lineup. https://www.crownandcaliber.com/products/grand-seiko-heritage-sbgr253-10-10-grs-pe6bym
  11. There is supposed to be one at the local shop here. I am going to try and head over today. If they have it, I'll grab some pics.
  12. "If I played guitar, I'd be Jimmy Page. The girlies I like are......." Well, this song did not age well. Seriously, that is an amazing guitar Chad. I think you go the better of the two by far. We will need a lot of NGD pics once it arrives.
  13. Wish we all knew about the build your own guitar program when we were all stuck doing nothing. I had a lot of time on my hands last year....
  14. Honey, I don’t even remember ordering this.... I must have done it in a fit of COVID delirium. Thankfully, I survived that dreaded disease though. I’ll be in the basement if you need me.
  15. Always happy to help spend someone’s else’s money.
  16. I'm driving to Colorado on the 19th, if Wildwood decides to open their showroom back up, I am defiantly gonna window shop. Feel free to wheel and deal with them over the phone. They have 4 of them, they must be ready to let them go by now. I can bring one back for you to DFW the following week...
  17. Crush Bass 50. I picked it up on the cheap via CL. I am not a huge amp aficionado, but it has been amazing for me. Fender Rumble has been put in timeout ever since. Regarding the bass, can't recommend it enough. The Custom Shop 60's in it are really punchy but not excessively hot. I got lucky and bought at peak pandemic shut down from a store in NY that was needing to clear some gear. I was worried about how comfortable the slab body would be, but it has been fantastic. Comfortable and surprisingly light. There is an overpriced used one on Reverb now and Wildwood has these as a special edition that I think Fender produced for them. https://wildwoodguitars.com/product/LE05391/american-thin-skin-roasted-telecaster-bass-57/?cat_id=230 They have been there a while and they may be willing to cut a deal. They are satin finish rather than gloss nitro. The thin skin nitro is pretty delicate.
  18. Sorry about your Covid. #TeamOrange
  19. If it is anything like their bass necks, they are all the same profile shape (deep C, '62 C etc). The kiln roasting process may end up altering it a bit from the original cut (each one is different disclaimer), but it will still be a deep C. You are right that they won't let you pick a modern C or C to D shape. If you do decide to get one, sign up for the annual membership of Fender Play. You get 10% off all Fender products as a member. It will save you more than the cost of the membership even if you never use the lessons. I've been sitting on this one for a while. But I already have a couple of P-basses and kinda want to get a Thunderbird in the stable. Daphne Blue, Roasted neck and '63 pickups.
  20. Durango whitewater rafting on the Animas river. They have family friendly float trips with fun but not overwhelming rapids and a lot of swim time out of the raft on the half day trips. Silverton Railroad in Durango is pretty kid friendly too. There is a Double Tree right on the river in Durango and downtown main street is an easy walk for shopping, coffee and restaurants. Absolute Bakery and Cafe in Mancos when you head to Mesa Verde. Great food and place to pick up treats for the hiking. Bring a lot of water for Mesa Verde. Million Dollar Highway is a great drive.
  21. Has that stopped any of us before?
  22. More than I care to list, but everything from Benelli M2 to S&W 686+ and all points in between. Again, didn't intend to hijack the thread. PM me.
  23. That sucks BL. This guy is in DFW, but generally has a ton of parts if you are tracking anything down to repair it. http://www.4runnerhouse.com Joey owns and runs it and he is great to deal with.
  24. Thank Reagan1K. I registered and started looking at GB sold prices, fees etc. It is going to take awhile to pick through, but the completed item search engine really helps. It looks like my 10mm/.45 ammo may be worth more that the Glocks/Sigs/H&K's that goes with it.... breaking up ammo and magazines may be better than the package deal I was thinking with everything initially. Things have certainly changed while I have been out of the loop when you used to just throw in a box or 2 of ammo with the sale. Not to turn this into a sale post, but if any Surly DFW regulars are looking for a murder/felony free FTF, PM me. Would want to sell the guns with or before clearing out the ammo. I can list out what I have, but don't want to hijack this thread.
