  1. Well, that just sucks.
  2. Reverend had a big booth of new stuff there. Lots of fun great guitars at the upper end of your price range.
  3. There was a good amount in the $300-1000 range. Chad and I posted some of the over the top stuff, but there were a lot of dealers with normal and fun stock at lower prices. I took a hard look at a few Kramer and Yamaha basses from the 80's in the 400-800 range. It's Sunday, go make a deal. No one wants to load up and haul all that stuff back home. Several Rics were there if you just want to get a feel for them in person.
  4. No, I looked for it, but did not see it. Don't know if it sold or I just missed it.
  5. I went looking for something Fender shaped and pastel. Alas, I was denied. I did find a Souldier strap that is apparently a new design that will be hitting their website soon.
  6. Chad hit most of the eye (wallet) popping hits yesterday. I always enjoy some of the oddities.
  7. I was waffling, but I am totally going tomorrow. Thanks for the pics Mr. Fuck.
  8. I'll be there Saturday. If you could buy the bass I want before I get there, that would save me a lot of money. TIA
  9. fixed
  10. You need to cater to the professional crowd. Starbucks kiosk. Well appointed interior. Gear wall rental. "Handling fee" to have gear shipped and stored at the facility to keep the wife in the dark about new acquisitions. Offer relic services at the luthier shop on site... The possibilities are endless. No offense. I kinda fit in this demographic too....
  11. When they default, can we have a Storage Wars type bidding situation on the gear left behind in the rehearsal rooms?
  12. Sonic blue, mint and rosewood is about as good as it gets. FWIW, I am totally on board with gentle relics like yours. The heavy ones do get a bit extreme.
  13. Sadly, he lives in Alabama. Road trip? Guitar collection choices now coming into better focus.
  14. OK, so we will need a second R8 as a back up (just in case anything happens to the first R8). Then we need the HP as a player. I think for safety sake, we may need a back up player too. Just in case.
  15. Appreciate the input Chad and DougO. Maybe I will test out my vaccine effectiveness and give it a go Saturday morning.
  16. Amusing that even Gibson removes the robotuners. They have added a bunch of stuff recently. Alas, no basses. Pelham Blue is such a great color. The freaky Les Paul hologram would be deal breaker though.
  17. Has anyone been to the Dallas International Guitar Festival? I don't really want to hang out and watch the bands, just roam around the vendors and look for stuff I don't need. I have been to the Three Amigos show in Arlington and it is usually pretty fun. It this about the same or is it more concert focused? https://www.guitarshow.com
  18. The Rangers have taken a strong pro social distancing stance by putting a crappy product on the field. Natural spacing out will occur as fans avoid this team all year.
  19. 2 strings too many, but I do have a Daphne Blue thing in the works. I am learning patience grasshopper. #TeamFenderPastel
  20. Can one of you please buy this and post pics of it every week? TIA https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/fender-parallel-universe-tele-magico-transparent-daphne-blue?ct=t(shop-fender-4-5-21)&goal=0_63363c100e-216f802205-264034749&mc_cid=216f802205&mc_eid=0e77883836
  21. Again, it is not the government. It is private companies. This isn't a "papers please" situation. People volunteer to get extensive background checks to qualify for TSA pre-check and avoid the longer lines/shoe removal hassle at the airport. It's not required, but people give up personal information for a perceived benefit. Is that the airlines doing government bidding? Schools require up to date vaccinations to re-enroll. Kids on sports teams have to get a physical and release that information to play HS football. We voluntarily provide health information all of the time because the benefits outweigh the perceived risks/concerns. Why is this now, such a big deal? I'm sorry, but this just seems like such a weird hill to die on. If you don't want the vaccine, cool. If you want to get the vaccine but don't want anyone to know, cool. If I choose to do both, why do you care? I honestly can't imagine what my most despised politician would do with my vaccine status information that would cause me harm.
