  1. I wanted the PRS build quality but didn't want the 10 Top Dragon's Breath Quilted maple. I am also not a huge fan of the bird fret markers.
  2. You? Probably. When I play it, it sounds like "row, row your boat....." I didn't move to bass because of the higher probability of getting the ladies.
  3. Here are a couple of quick shots. If anyone is interested, PM me. I haven’t even looked at pricing, but there will obviously be a Surly price. We can figure something out. I’m in DFW if anyone is local and CV-19 free who wants to stop by. 2012 PRS Stripped SC58 in Amber Black 57/08 pickups. 2012 American Std. Strat CS Fat 50’s. Oly White.
  4. Probably the worst time to think about selling gear, but I have come to the conclusion that I prefer bass and just don't play guitar enough to justify keeping them around. Once things open back up, I plan to head to GC and see how much they will lowball me on a few guitars. Has anyone have any experience selling on Reverb? Face to face is always easiest, but I have given up on Craigslist being useful for anything but scams and possibly being murdered during a meet up.
  5. Seagull SWS series and Yamaha Red label can get you all solid wood and great sound at that price point. You do probably sacrifice some laminated beauty for it, but worth in IMO. Wait this is the amp thread... are we talking acoustic amps? No clue there...
  6. Damn it, sig turned off now. Sorry
  7. Music Man did this on a few models this year. Looks like Fender and G&L are following this plan too. If you are considering any Ash guitar or bass, now may be the time. Beyond some great looking instruments, I hate that we are losing so many trees to this invasive beetle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. So, flattening the curve is working in NYC. My role is no longer needed. I helped get some protocols for one field hospital set up, the other location is not gonna happen. Over staffed. They are sending me home after 3 days rather than the month I was supposed to be here. Good news is that they will pay me for 2 weeks of home quarantine. Now I have a little extra cash and a lot of free time to work on that sparkle bass build.....
  9. Quick shot of the bass in the hotel. I’m here for a month, hope the wife will send me pics at some point. But probably not...
  10. I forgot that this is the Surl and that there are rules. I'm now in NYC so no pics of the guitars or the wife at this point.
  11. In other Corona related news, I just arrived in NYC to help out a bit. If I’m not working, I’m stuck in the hotel, so I took the bass and a Vox headphone amp. Not the most exciting rig rundown, but will hopefully keep me sane. If I don’t make it, I’m gonna need one of you to run by the house and thin the guitar herd. My wife is gonna be pissed if she sees how many there actually are.
  12. Gorgeous! Shots of the back when you have time please.
  13. I hate to hear that AUTF, I hope he kicks this virus's ass.
  14. Consider ordering a drum dial tuner at the same time. It made things easier for my son. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Drumdial--drumdial-precision-drum-tuner
  15. If AUTF's "pretty sure" is anything like mine, he already has a shipping number.
  16. Too bad this isn’t an option.
  17. Warmoth has some good deals on some finished Tele bodies right now if you like a classic burst. $270 https://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/ShowcaseItem.aspx?Body=2&Shape=2&Type=82&Path=Telecaster,Vintage&i=PT7009#.XoR9Li85Q8Y
  18. Damnit, now I am looking at heavy metal flake basses. Fuck this thread.
  19. I can see it now. Spaghetti style Fender font "C. Fuck"
  20. Obviously every office will be different. SA should certainly contact his urologist and see what their plans are for the near future. The recommendations are for surgeries in hospitals and surgery centers to maintain bed space and free up supplies. Vasectomies are in office, minimal equipment procedures. Where I am located, doctors are still performing in office minor procedures under local anesthesia (vasectomies, small skin lesion removal etc.). They are also still performing urgent (non-emergency) surgeries that should go to avoid unnecessary delay (breast cancer resection, chemotherapy port insertion, some spine surgeries...) Given SA's recent proclivities, it may still qualify as an emergency procedure if the end result in 9 months is child support and a crazy baby mama.
  21. That's good advice. It also happened to a friend of mine. He decided to skip providing follow up samples to the urologist. Just one, not twins though. Absolutely do every follow up test to make sure that you are indeed clear.
  22. You should be fine. That is an in office procedure under local. Should not be affected by the current cancellation of elective operative procedures.
