  1. Not sure how much more Gibson in a Fender body you can get. https://reverb.com/item/52329406-fender-limited-edition-parallel-universe-series-troublemaker-tele-2018-ice-tea-burst Local pickup only in San Fran. Have AUTF grab it, fly out, jam with the Vary Mary's, profit. Or perhaps you know someone in Austin..... https://reverb.com/item/48575485-fender-limited-edition-parallel-universe-troublemaker-telecaster-2018-ice-tea-burst
  2. Those are both great! I completely forgot that the show was coming up. Hopefully it will be bigger than last year.
  3. Bubblegum metallic super strat with a roasted maple neck would not suck.
  4. Headstock looks better when not painted. https://www.fender.com/articles/gear/closeup-check-out-fenders-new-parallel-universe-collection https://www.fender.com/articles/gear/making-mischief-inside-the-parallel-universe-troublemaker-tele
  5. They are bioceramic, sir. Bio-Ceramic.
  6. That is my thought too. The only limit I see would be how much Omega is willing to let them produce due to possible brand dilution concerns. In the Twitter post previously linked, Swatch stated that they would be available online later.
  7. Another vote for Surf Green/Mint and Maple. The MOD shop is a fun place to kill some time. If you decide to order from there, an Annual Fender Play membership saves you 10%
  8. I'd take the pizza gig in Cleveland over the managing a drum department at a Guitar Center option every single day.

  10. People buying at these prices will be upset once Swatch starts selling them online. Glad I didn't go today. Great watch, but I can wait.
  11. Reverb Martin pricing before hitting local shops tomorrow. Good Lord. https://reverb.com/item/38645487-martin-custom-shop-limited-edition-paul-jr-american-chopper-guitar-2-of-7
  12. I kinda regret selling my OM acoustic. I have started looking around again. I know there are some Martin 000 peeps here, thoughts? I tried out a Gibson L-00 and was kinda meh about it. I am down to the 000-18 and the Yamaha LS-36 ARE. The only issue with the Yamaha is it will be an order only guitar and I can't try any out. However, it's a lot of guitar for the less than the Martin. Anyone have any experience with the LL/LS line built in Japan? I am open to other options as well.
  13. Assuming the cut is clean, superficial and no signs of infection-it should be fine. Otherwise, liquid bandage may be a better option since is wears off faster.
  14. At least Texas would never pull that crap on Twitter.
  15. Yes. 2019 or so I believe.
  16. Fender stated they were trying to attract a new younger generation of players with the Player Plus series. I like that they are putting out some new shapes. I can't say that I love this one, but I don't hate it. Some of the color ways like Tequila Sunrise and Belaire Blue fades are a bit much, but I hope they are ultimately successful. Honestly, it gets a bit boring with Tele, Strat and LP versions re-done over and over.
  17. In my defense, I typed prog band and it autocorrected. Sorry. My lowball offer still stands if you are interested.
  18. Took my son to Glass Animals at Mission Ballroom in Denver last night. It is so great to have live music back. Next up Foo Fighters in August.
  19. I hear he is also an up and coming luthier with a new Surlycaster coming out in the not too distant future.
  20. Mines is still open if I recall. I think they extended them out after the recent wildfire.
  21. We looked at UT and UW a bit. However, both schools were larger than my son wanted. Look into it, but if I recall at UT your options to swap engineering majors were pretty limited if you decided to change. UW (assuming you are admitted into Engineering) was much more open to changing majors. Unless it is Computer Engineering-that requires direct admission. If he is a little undecided as to exactly what type of engineering he likes, UW may offer more flexibility.
