  1. Has he regressed? He's been the same QB his entire time here. Good in the short/intermediate passing game but terrible down the field. Also, any type of pressure and he's likely to self-sack himself. That's been Quinn his entire career.
  2. Our O-line wasn't terrible that half. Quinn ran into most of those sacks. He has zero pocket awareness. Not only does he not avoid pressure but he actually runs into it.
  3. Our defense fucks. This is primarily on Quinn at this point.
  4. Stop blaming the O for shit like that. Ewers runs into sacks.
  5. Ewers is not good. Just zero awareness in the pocket, mediocre deep ball, and dumb decision making at times.
  6. Next year's team will be our best shot at a title if Chavez does pick us. Harmon, Booker, and Chavez together would be crazy. Potentially 3 first-team caliber All-Americans together.
  7. 4-1 Texas. 4 goals by Ward tonight. Damn.
  8. 3-1 Texas. 3 goals for Ward tonight.
  9. 2-1 Texas. Another goal by Ward.
  10. Terrible start. Down 1-0 to Boston. This would be peak Ange Kelly. Win the SEC tournament title and then lose the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
  11. We are likely returning 3 starters on the back line (Montgomery, Thompson, and Brothers). Maybe 4 if Cox returns. Then we should have really good wingers/outside midfielders in Villareal and Chloe Shimkin. I would think Ava Mcdonald would be the starting striker (#7 recruit in this year's class) and Avery Clark/Maalouf are quality players that can be reserves in that role. Need to add some central midfielders and goalkeeper out of the portal.
  12. I wonder if Cox will return. I know she was honored on SR day but she's not going to get a NWSL opportunity based on her injury history. If she wants to continue playing soccer in the US her best option is probably to return.
  13. We added the #7 recruit, #32 recruit, #45 recruit, #80 recruit, and #94 recruit from the top 100. Pretty good class considering we will likely add some good Canadians too that aren't ranked in the recruiting rankings.
  14. Collen adds talent but she seems to add a lot of players with issues. Matharu is another one of those molds. They've seemed to have major chemistry issues since Collen took over.
  15. I'll be really surprised if Lee isn't the primary starter by the end of the year. Harmon, Lee, Holle, Booker, and Jones is the best lineup for how Vic wants to play. Lee and Preston are perfect fits for how Vic wants to play (i.e. athletic guards that can defend in the full-court press). We can go big with the Booker, Moore, and Jones lineups in certain scenarios but don't think that's the best way to maximize this roster.
  16. I think the key will be figuring out how to divide the minutes at the 4 and 5. Between Harmon, Holle, Phelia, Lee, and Preston we are likely going to go small/more athletic 1-3. Tough to bring a player like Moore off the bench but it's the best way to maximize this roster.
  17. The backups are going to get a ton of minutes with this non-conference schedule. The main starters didn't even play 20 minutes.
  18. The broadcasters talked about it but don't think we will keep this big starting lineup of Booker, Moore, and Jones. Booker will eventually be at the 4 and we will add another athletic guard to starting 5.
  19. Hunter is one of the better RBs in the SEC. This has a 20-17 score feel (either way) if Auburn just gives the ball to Jarquez Hunter. The South Carolina game showed where you can punish aggy's defense.
  20. It wouldn't be surprising. Auburn has a solid D and have been in pretty much every game this year. It's just a matter of how much Auburn's offense wants to shit the bed.
  21. Nah man, you didn’t hear? Ole Miss is in the top 25 after struggling to beat Grambling State and South Alabama. They’re clearly better than us.
  22. It feels like Texas schools don't get much respect in general. Texas and TCU were under-seeded. Soccer is huge at the club level in Texas but it's never taken off at the collegiate level. Has there ever been a Texas school that's made the college cup (final 4)? I feel like there might be some bias involved just based on how we treat soccer in Texas. It's not a huge sport that schools prioritize at all. Schools in the Northeast and out West all take soccer much more seriously.
  23. Oldacre was a very weird portal recruitment. Her stats and minutes didn't align with the schools that recruited her out of the portal. Vic was far from the only coach who saw potential. Something must have flashed on film because a lot of good schools were after her. So far it looks like those coaches were right. Oldacre looked really good in the exhibition too.
  24. Nah, even the bracketologists (like the Chris Henderson guy above) said we are a borderline 2 based on our resume. At least historically. Not only were we a 4 but the worst 4 since we're playing the #1 overall seed. This seeding is just bad. I could understand a 3 seed but the worst 4 in the bracket? That's way off. But, there were some dumb seedings all the way around like TCU.
