  1. Our bigs are atrocious again on the boards. Shedrick and Onyema are the weakness of this team.
  2. They need to keep putting Kaluma on the mid to low block. He's so crafty down there.
  3. Think you have to be pretty conservative in extra time. If you lose with Justus in PKs, so be it.
  4. Wide open now. Tons of space for both teams.
  5. Damn, Stanford just won with 10 seconds left in the second half. 2-1 win. Uconn gave up two goals in the final 5 minutes after being up 1-0 for almost the entire match.
  6. Welp, got 18 minutes to equalize now.
  7. We're creating major issues on the wing for Michigan State. Keep attacking there.
  8. Equalizer by Villareal. She's so damn good.
  9. Another terrible start. Down 1-0 early.
  10. No, I think it's better for NET. Beating a top 30 NET team at home has way more value than beating a team outside the top 100 on a neutral court. This Saint Joseph's win or loss could very well end up as a Quad 3 result. I think the "hostile crowd" shit is way overvalued in non-conference play. Texas will get plenty of those type environments in the SEC.
  11. I will say, I'm pretty confused why Syracuse has been bad to start the year. Sterling and Bell have been good college players. Lampkin is a good college big with a ton of experience at the P5 level. Freeman was a 5 star in this year's class and as high as the #6 recruit per ESPN. They should be a NCAA-tournament bubble type team. Maybe they still are.
  12. This is what the portal is. Follow the money. Tech has one of the best frontcourts in the country but their guards are awful. Toppin could be a legit NPOY candidate with some good guards. I guess he got a bag though which is all he cares about.
  13. From a NET perspective, it doesn't do anything for you. On a neutral court, these 2 games are just decent wins but potential for bad losses. Against teams essentially playing at home and crowd on their side. If you want to test yourself then schedule somebody good at home.
  14. I don’t know why teams like Texas and Texas Tech agree to these type tournaments. You have to play neutral site games against teams that are essentially road games. You’re just asking for disaster this early in the season with less potential reward. As Tech found out last night.
  15. St joes lost to Central Connecticut State but anything can happen when you get hot from 3. 12/22 from 3. That's how you pull off an upset.
  16. St. Joes is gonna be gassed tomorrow. Hope we get out in the open court and run.
  17. He's soft inside and not mobile on the perimeter. A lot of the breakdowns on the perimeter are when teams put Shedrick in some type of action and he just gets completely lost. Johnson and Kaluma were frustrated with him several times.
  18. I don't like these type of tournaments. It's the same thing as Louisville last year (who was also bad). It makes no sense to play a neutral site game that's essentially going to be a road game against a bad team. You're playing with fire doing this. Granted, I guess it's hard to know that teams like Louisville and Syracuse will be bad.
