  1. We haven't challenged them from the service line yet on this set.
  2. Can't just keep floating balls over at the service line. Take a swing.
  3. Very conservative serve by Swindle. We haven't served well either in this one.
  4. Too cute tonight. On a night like this where you are off you have to feed Skinner. We aren't doing it.
  5. Serve receive just hasn't been good enough tonight.
  6. Do not set anybody except Skinner.
  7. I get spreading it around but 21 attempts for Skinner, 20 for Devin, 16 for Jenna, and 15 for Rutherford. I don't like this type of distribution when Skinner is hitting .524.
  8. Still not sure why we aren't setting Skinner more.
  9. Biggest issue this match is serve receive.
  10. We're making this too difficult. Skinner has 11 kills on 19 swings. Like last year, this is the time of the year when you just have to ride your best player. Set her until teams can stop her.
  11. I think we've become a bit too worried about spreading it around. Skinner is hitting .529. Set her until they can stop her.
  12. I think playing on the road can be advantageous if you advance. There's a comfort in playing at home and it's a completely new environment playing on a neutral/road court. Those Tennessee and Stanford matches were good for us last year.
  13. Completely different positions but I view Kent much like Jabari Rice. Good at everything and got better every year in college.
  14. I think it's going to be tough keeping Kent out of the starting lineup but obviously a difficult decision with Kaluma. Also, I think that's why we will go small a lot at the 5. I would much rather see minutes with Kaluma at the 5 than Onyema.
  15. @Derkawhat's your guess on the starting 5?
  16. I think Kent will be the player that surprises the most people. Based on everything I've read so far, he's really good.
  17. No volleyball expert but hitting % is also drastically overrated. We hit .260 and .270 in last year's national semis and finals. It didn't matter because of how we served and played defensively. I think the big turning point with Elliott was realizing that there's much more to winning titles than just prioritizing terminal players. Serving and defense is what got us over the hump.
  18. They looked up at the replay and realized "man that's bad. we have to overturn this."
  19. Good job to the fans for throwing stuff on the field. They saw the replay and realized how bad it was.
  20. They saw the replay and realized how egregious that call was.
  21. The biggest problem by far that half was Cam Williams. He was beat almost every down in pass pro. Just awful.
  22. Cam Williams was beat almost every snap in pass pro that half.
