  1. If Ewers puts up nearly 400 yards of offense like he did against Washington, I'll wager any amount of money we don't lose to Georgia. If we get that Ewers we aren't losing with an improved defense.
  2. Quinn threw for 318 yards and ran for 54 yards against Washington. With no interceptions. Quinn wasn't spectacular but definitely good enough to win that game. It's not his fault our secondary couldn't cover anyone or that other players fumbled the ball twice.
  3. I don't know who will have a big day but Georgia has been incapable of tackling on the edge in the secondary. Blue swing passes, Wingo end a rounds, WR screen passes seem like something Sark is going to utilize a lot until Georgia shows they can tackle in space.
  4. This is why this match up favors Texas. We are loaded at WR and Georgia’s secondary is bad. Everyone is talking about this being a battle in the trenches when reality the main factor in this game will be if Georgia can find a way to slow down our receivers.
  5. It's true that we haven't played a great offense but we've actually played some good defenses. OU and Michigan are both top 15ish defenses (probably both better than Georgia's defense). Also, ULM has a very good defense. #37 in DFEI.
  6. A below average passing offense did this to their secondary. I think we win this game easily if Georgia doesn't play conservatively on the back end. Their secondary is much worse than OU's or Michigan's IMO.
  7. The other thing about Georgia, is they had Mondon for the Alabama game. He's their best coverage LB. That game would have been worse had they not had Mondon. Luckily for Georgia, they've played Auburn and Miss State following the injury but Texas is a different animal than those two offenses.
  8. Georgia went a good bit of 3 high against Alabama in the 2nd half once they realized they couldn't cover their WRs at all. After Miss State destroyed their secondary, I would be really surprised if they aren't very conservative on the back end.
  9. I think this will be a big game for Blue. Georgia's secondary has been bad in coverage but they've been even worse tackling on the edge. I'm expecting a bunch of RB swing passes to force their DBs to make plays in space.
  10. The thing about Michigan is Ewers didn’t have to sling it around. He was able to hit a bunch of check down passes to TEs and RBs. Teams are scared to death of getting burned deep by our WRs. Just take what the defense gives you.
  11. Their secondary has been bad almost all year. OU and Michigan’s defenses are ranked above Georgia’s in almost every advanced metric for a reason. I’m expecting a lot of what OU did against us with 3 high safeties and conservative looks because Georgia has zero faith in their secondary. Checking down to RBs and TEs is something Ewers will likely have wide open again like most of the year.
  12. Which is fine. I think a lot of people forget that Vic wants to press and run but injuries have really made people forget how Vic’s teams played. This is why I’ve never understood people who have tried to argue that Chavez isn’t a great fit under Vic. When Vic is running his system with a healthy roster it’s a very fun system to play under.
  13. We put up 34 points down our best WR, likely projected starting RB, and a QB back from injury in his first live action in a month. Some teams make excuses and others don't.
  14. Biggest difference this year is we've gone from having 0 edge rushers to 3 or 4 legit edge rushers. Turns out that being able to get to the QB helps out a defense a lot.
  15. Venables is now 11-10 in conference play. That miracle win against Texas did a lot of work for Venables last year because that's about the only thing he has going for him. If he was 0-3 against Texas, he would be a dead man walking. He might already be.
  16. Follow #2. This is just pathetic effort.
  17. Michael Taafee being better than Billy Bowman is the funniest thing from this weekend. So beautiful with how much that shithead runs his mouth.
  18. I don't know what it is about Skinner. Apparently, she just doesn't wake up until conference play starts. Funny enough the Big 12 would have been more challenging this year.
  19. This is starting to feel a lot like last year's team. Ames also seems like she's starting to figure things out. Good for Jerritt Elliott because he had a lot of doubters and these last 2 seasons prove that he can really coach. The team has drastically improved throughout the year over the last 2 seasons.
  20. Donte Williams was a very weird hire for a program like UGA. Great recruiter but USC's secondary was complete ass under him. I think USC even fired him. That was always a very questionable hire and so far it looks like UGA's secondary is paying the price.
  21. Georgia is definitely the best offense we've faced but they've really struggled defensively the last 3 weeks (against 2 really bad passing offenses). They gave up 306 passing yards to a Miss State team that's starting a true FR at QB. Their secondary looked flat out horrible against Alabama and Miss State.
  22. They aren’t a top 25 team. That was obvious when they almost lost to terrible Auburn and Houston teams.
  23. Funniest thing about this game was OU being ranked 18th. That’s how dumb these polls are.
  24. I don't think Ewers had any issue processing 3 high safeties today. WRs and TEs were open all game. His issue today was mechanics and just missing wide open WRs.
