  1. It's crazy Clemson is even in this position. This Pitt vs Clemson game was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. Legit cost Pitt 10-14 points in a 4 point loss. Same shit happened in this game where Pittsburgh fans went insane after a missed call and the refs overturned it (not this play but another one). I thought Pitt fans were going to attack the refs in this one.
  2. Clemson was dominated by Georgia, lost to a good but not great South Carolina team, lost to an unranked Louisville team, probably should have lost to SMU with only a 30.1% win expectancy, and barely beat unranked Pitt by 4 points mainly due from a few terrible calls by the refs. You can spin however you want. This team is mediocre at best. They weren't even going to sniff the playoffs had they not backed their way into the ACC championship. This is a 3 to 5 loss type team that you're comparing to '23 Washington, '23 Bama, and '24 Georgia. Please get a grip.
  3. Bro, this Clemson team is nowhere near as good as '23 Alabama, '23 Washington, and '24 Georgia. Jesus. Clemson wasn't even going to make the playoffs had Miami not choked in the final regular season game of the ACC.
  4. The fact people think this Clemson team is comparable to last year's Alabama/Washington and this year's Georgia is how you know they are clueless. They are not in the same stratosphere.
  5. I also think Ohio State is going to beat Oregon. Ohio State has flaws but their defense is still nasty. Oregon's defense is just OK. I don't see Oregon's offense scoring 32 again on Ohio State's D. I predict Ohio State winning a 23 to 20 type game.
  6. yeah, because we got a favorable draw in the quarters. Having to play ASU is a much easier draw than having to play Tennessee or Ohio State.
  7. yeah, because we are playing 2 of the weakest teams in the first 2 rounds.
  8. SP+ has Clemson with .8% title odds. Arizona State is the only one with lower odds .6%.
  9. I laughed. But in all seriousness, the blueprint is to just be decent. Clemson went 1-3 against the best teams on their schedule and the game they won they only had a 30% win expectancy.
  10. Big thing for Clemson will be how healthy they are at RB. Their 2nd string RB (Haynes) was carted off last night and sounds like a serious injury. Their starting RB (Mafah) is battling through some type of injury and has only rushed for 17, 14, 66, and 28 yards in the last 4 games. If Mafah isn't healthy they're going to have issues at RB.
  11. They're very similar teams and I still think SMU is probably better. SMU outgained them by a lot and per SP+ Clemson only had a 30.1% win expectancy. Essentially, SMU outplayed them but lost the game. But this is just another reason why I think Clemson is very mediocre.
  12. I know he was being sarcastic. It was mainly in response to 4th and 5.
  13. aggy would beat Clemson at Kyle Field. Also, several other teams on our schedule would be a coin flip with Clemson on a neutral field. Man, I don't think people have watched Clemson this year. They aren't bad but they aren't good. They're a very mediocre football team like the aggy team we beat by double digits on the road.
  14. If you think a 10.5 line against Clemson at home is crazy, I don't know what to tell you. Personally, I hammered it immediately.
  15. aggy and Clemson are very similar. I don't think you've watched Clemson this year.
  16. I think Clemson is very mediocre. They wouldn't even have sniffed the playoffs if not for winning the worst power conference in the country. They're a 3 loss team that was a couple plays away from having 5 losses in the worst power conference. They don't suck but they aren't a playoff-caliber team. Almost every advanced metric has Clemson and A&M ranked next to each other. That's about who they are as a team.
  17. It almost backfired but Georgia treated this game as a game to rest players. They didn't play their LT Earnest Greene, their best offensive weapon in Etienne, and sat a couple key contributors on D that also played against Texas. Georgia had zero respect for Georgia Tech. Like I said, it almost backfired but it worked.
  18. I don't. The ACC is ass. Clemson even making the ACC conference championship is a product of Miami being a complete fraud. Sagarin has the ACC as the worst power conference behind the SEC, Big 12, and Big 10. Both are going to lose by double digits and everyone will realize the ACC does indeed suck.
  19. #33. Our special teams haven't been as bad as people think. While Bert sucks and our punter sucks, we don't give up big returns in the kicking game. We also don't have huge negative plays on returns. I can honestly live with the short punts because teams don't have any return game against us. Bert is the one that needs to get his shit together.
  20. Good news too is that Clemson and ASU both have terrible special teams. Clemson #88 SFEI and ASU #76 SFEI.
  21. I think something being overlooked is how important this 2-week break is for Texas. IMO, we are the team that will benefit most from this. Ewers has been at 75%, two of our top WRs have not been anywhere close to healthy, and Banks has been out at LT. Our offense has been a mash unit for a few weeks. Getting those guys back to 100% is significant.
  22. Yeah, it was just a bad start by SMU. I actually think SMU > Clemson. SMU outgained Clemson 458 yards to 326. This is also why they value conference championship games way too much. Clemson has been nowhere close to a playoff team all year but because they barely beat a borderline top-15 team (SMU) that pushes them over the edge. Laughable. They should just get rid of auto-bids in general.
