  1. Apparently, the 2025 class is loaded. It's a top 5 class. I wish Kelly could coach like she recruits and builds a roster. I will say recruiting has improved significantly over the last couple of years. Is it NIL, the SEC move, or what?
  2. I would guess we're taking at least 3 or 4 more transfer pitchers.
  3. I was reading the Nebraska boards and apparently he's a major asshole. The Schloss news came as no surprise to them. Their descriptions of Alberts sounds a lot like Steve Patterson.
  4. Their coaches in the major sports: Earley (Baseball)-no experience as a head coach Elko (Football)-2 years of experience as a head coach at Duke. 16-9 record as a head coach. Buzz (Basketball)-Been a major disappointment so far. What could possibly go wrong here with Trev Alberts running the show.
  5. Emotional hire but they also only reached that point because they were incapable of making a big-name hire.
  6. It was discussed earlier in this thread but Dee Kennedy was originally committed to A&M and Schloss essentially processed him. It's why I was surprised last night that Kennedy decided to return.
  7. I haven't seen many pitching announcements other than the guys we wanted back. I think we're about to see a lot of attrition there (as needed).
  8. Schloss has done a good job of retaining all the players we needed to. Is there a player we've lost that we care about? Dee was about the only one.
  9. I think there was talk he might just give up baseball. Isn't he going to be 25 next season? I don't think he has much of a pro future but he's a good college reliever. Some thought he might just move on to a career.
  10. This is probably the day we figure out which players have been processed.
  11. Good point. You can really make an argument that pitching injuries were probably the downfall of Pierce. I don't think people remember how good Harrison was in '22 as a FR. Maybe a year of limited work following a major injury will be a good thing for Harrison. Getting the '22 version of Harrison back plus Mercer would be a huge injection of talent that nobody is really expecting.
  12. So what's the word on Will Mercer? He looked really good in the Fall and was probably going to be the closer before injury. Getting him back healthy would be significant.
  13. They were tampering with Galvan too. But don't worry "they're ethical and never do anything wrong."
  14. The april perfect game draft board didn't have him as a top 400 prospect. Maybe things have changed. https://www.perfectgame.org/articles/View.aspx?article=22814
  15. Also, what's up with Will Mercer? I haven't kept up since the injury. Getting him back would be pretty significant.
  16. Grubbs, Boehm, and Whitehead were really the only 3 pitchers I cared about returning. 2 are back. I guess Duplantier showed some upside to end the year.
  17. The crazy part is 8 strikeouts in the same game. He's your prototypical FR that's filthy but doesn't have much command.
  18. Bicep tendinitis. He was apparently healthy again for the Pac 12 tournament but didn't pitch.
  19. Burns will likely be a weekend starter. Good numbers until his last start when he was injured. As a FR too.
