  1. I forgot that Shamari Simmons is out the first half.
  2. Yeah, I don’t get the “take the points” crowd. Our FG kicker is never a guarantee for points.
  3. I wouldn't say that ASU "hasn't played anyone." They've played 3 fringe top 25ish teams but 2 of which probably aren't top 25 teams. Let me put it this way, I think ASU would have 4 or 5 losses with Texas schedule assuming they played Georgia twice.
  4. This is why you shouldn't look at the AP Poll and advanced metrics to judge teams. Sagarin: Iowa State 27th, BYU 28th, Kansas State 24th FPI: Iowa State 27th, BYU 30th, Kansas State 25th FEI: Iowa State 29th, BYU 18th, Kansas State 31st. These are all fringe top 25 teams with 2 likely not being top 25 teams. 2 of these games were also close. Reality is, that's who ASU probably is. A fringe top 20ish team. See above post. Texas has played 4 or 5 teams better than anybody ASU has played.
  5. They’ve played a really soft schedule. To give you perspective…..Georgia x2, Clemson, A&M, and Michigan are all ranked higher than any team ASU has played this year according to Sagarin. There’s about to be a huge talent shift at the LOS based on the teams they’ve played.
  6. Yeah, 13.5 line is too low IMO considering their 2nd best player is injured.
  7. Peter Woods is a stud if he can stay healthy. Do want.
  8. Man, Oregon was screwed as a 1 seed. They get one of the most talented teams in the country (Ohio State) while we get ASU and Penn State gets Boise State. They need to fix the seeding.
  9. I posted this in the ASU game thread but seems like Wingo is a much better blocker than Bond. Wingo had a great block on that long TD run. With as much outside zone as we are running, I think Wingo's blocking ability is pretty significant.
  10. It would be interesting to see which games we ran the ball well and didn't run the ball well based on games that Bond played. That long TD run by Blue was in big part due to a Wingo block on the outside. I have nothing to back this up based on PFF grades but my eyes tell me that Wingo is a substantially better blocker than Bond.
  11. Ohio State is going to beat Oregon.
  12. It just comes down to stopping their run game with Tyson out at WR. Clemson has a better QB and much better WRs considering Tyson is injured. I can’t see ASU coming close to replicating what Clemson did in the passing game.
  13. With Tyson out, we are going to bring numbers to the LOS and force ASU to beat us in the passing game. If ASU had Tyson, I would say 13.5 was about right but that line is too low right now.
  14. No. I said it would be about 20 in last night's thread and I bet the line increases once we get clarity on our injuries.
  15. I just hope we don't have a conservative gameplan against ASU. They've given up 31 and 32 points plus 400 yards to both top 30 offenses they've played per FEI (Kansas and UCF). ASU is the type team you drop 40 on and don't worry about your defense. We can still run the ball without being conservative too.
  16. Without our RB1, starting center, and starting RT for large portions of the game. As was discussed in the game thread, the ACC is a joke. Clemson and SMU were both mediocre football teams.
  17. They are. Worse QB and defense.
  18. Think this will go much like the Clemson game. ASU will score some points but their QB isn't Klubnik and their D is also worse than Clemson. 38-21 type score.
  19. This isn't over. My god. We never make this shit easy.
  20. Too cute again. Just give it to the RB.
  21. Jesus fucking christ we can never make anything easy.
  22. Review that shit. You can see on replay that he's clearly past the line of scrimmage.
