Congrats on the purchase, but FYI to any future buyer, Sitterle (if you’re in Austin or San Antonio) was a pretty good builder for us and their prices aren’t that much more expensive.  Our feeling was they were a grade between DR Horton and David Weekly.  They just don’t have a ton of open projects so the locations might be too limiting. https://sitterlehomes.com

    Look sharp.

Any thoughts on Lennar or KB homes?

  2. I understand there's a "help" board but from what I've seen, the content there centers around do it yourself projects. I'm in a bind though.  We just returned to the office at work and sure enough I have a female manager now.  As I was returning to lunch today, she asked if I was smuggling a 9 inch cucumber in my pants and said "you better stifle that thing when you're visiting customers."  10 minutes ago she just asked if I wanted to hit the treadmill in the basement gym.  I feel like I'm being sexually harassed and I had no response to the cucumber comment.  I just sort of walked off.  Should I have said "that's not a cucumber and you're sexually harrassing me" or just let it go.  How should I handle this moving forward?  Please excuse any typos as it's hard to type while running on a treadmill.

When you are cordial enough to let someone into traffic only for them to be the slowest driver on earth and you can not now get around them because of a steady stream of cars coming around the left hand lane.

And they don’t bother waving to you

My comment was mostly sarcastic out of frustration and anger at the shittiness this whole incident.  Nobody deserves to get shot for doing what she did. But speaking for myself, I no longer "gesture" and usually even think twice about honking.  It's not going to change anyone else's shitty driving.

I live in SoCal.  There have been many moments where I've wanted to honk or gesture but then decided I wanted my family and I to live.

Where the fuck was THAT on career day in high school?!  If I had only known...

I'm guessing the ones you get ain't the ones you want. I feel like that job or being a gynecologist would ruin it for me.

I wasn't sure what kind of doctor I was, but looking at all the lovely sisters here, I think I'll be a doctor of gynecology.” -Mike Tyson while accepting an honorary degree

Only tangentially related, I watched a 10 minute interview with Mankind and talking about Hell in the Cell and how he went cold and was in a fog for a lot of the match afterwards, which led me to an audiobook clip of Stone Cold's autobiography where he talks about how Owen made an amateur mistake and nearly crippled him and then never apologized before his death. Didn't know how serious that neck injury was, I just remember Stone Cold was the height of his prime and then was out for a long time.

Full circle, but I think Goldberg fucked up Brett Hart's career with a side kick to the face.

How many veterans in that locker room are saying to themselves, “I’ve been busting my ass the past several years to make an NFL roster and Meyer signs this fucking guy?”

I'm sure all of them.  But even the PGA tour has event exemptions right?  How about minor league players returning to play QB?  Mark Ferris, Weinke, etc.  I don't feel awful for guy #90 as he probably doesn't make the team.  I also just had sex with your mom.

It didn't say.  The article seemed to suggest it was one person, a teenager, and I didn't get a description if it was some genetic freak of a human or not.  I excluded other stories were weapons were employed, sadly there were quite a few.  Though I think the guy who shot a police dog getting 45 years was a bit much since civilian dogs are treated as property only, but that is another discussion.

Fair enough.  Hate to get too granular, but curious how it happened.  Like was he hiding and caught the dog off guard with an object?  Wearing long sleeves?  If he's gangster he may not be an average man.  So, point to you, average man may be able to handle a big dog.

Don't forget that's the entirety of the Pac 12 and ACC's revenues, and doesn't include each Big 12 school's Tier III, which puts the Big 12 ahead of the Pac 12 and miles ahead of the ACC in per school payout.

    And we have fewer schools
