  1. Link? I'm not disputing it, just wondering where to get data from. If I google "Texas Coronavirus Cases" it shows a decline starting to occur.
  2. Some good news.... Only 280 new cases in Harris County today. Down 70% from last Tuesday (944). That should help drive Texas case numbers down, too, which appear to be dropping per Google. Edit: also no deaths
  3. I don’t know what this is. I am getting my numbers from the Harris County health site. Not sure where that guy’s numbers are from but they seem wrong
  4. Harris County has more cases than any other county in Texas. The closest is Dallas County and it's a 10k difference. Harris is also the most populated, so are you referring to a specific per capita metric?
  5. Harris County new cases down 26% from last Monday. 1,317 today (2-day count since no reporting on Sundays) 1,789 on 6/22
  6. Methodist in Houston is still doing elective surgeries
  7. Nevermind, apparently last Saturday was a backlog day or something...so hard to say
  8. Harris County cases today are down 25% compared to last Saturday.
  9. Are you guys referring to the Stan Utley book? I have spent a lot of time on my game the last 12 months. Consistently playing in the 90s for the first time in my life, but there are still some extremely frustrating mistakes. If I just eliminated the deceleration duffs from 40-70 yards out I’d knock 3-5 strokes off my game. Drives me insane.

  11. It is funny how angry everyone got at MLB yet they are going to start before the NBA, whose plan everyone is cool with. I guess that is why you don’t negotiate in public.
  12. I disagree. HEB in Montrose always has 80% or more people wearing masks when I’m in there, and I’m there 1-2x week. The Home Depot I’m the Heights is probably 60-70% although I haven’t been there in a couple of weeks. Wearing masks outside is pointless right? I think the spread is really happening with the 20somethings at the bars. I haven’t been but I’m hearing the bars in The Heights and Midtown are packed on the weekends and I doubt masks are common there (or if they are even effective in that environment).
  13. I think the Yankees/MLB are trying to delay the deadline Friday to work in an appeal.
  14. The judge has seen the letter and is going through this process because he believes there is a coverup. Should we trust the judge or the Yankees beat reporter?
  15. Link?
  16. Started the rewatch last night with the wife. The pilot hits a lot different second time around.
  17. It’s hard to get invested in the intense scenes when everything is predictable and you don’t care if any of the characters die because they have done so much selfish/stupid shit.
  18. I see both sides of it. The March agreement has some vague language about negotiating in good faith if there are no fans. The players agreed to that language and there won't be games with fans...so there should be a good faith negotiation. The players' hard stance of "we already agreed to a pay cut" isn't 100% in line with the language agreed to. On the other hand, the owners made a ridiculous initial proposal so I don't blame the players for being pissed. In hindsight, I wish MLB and MLBPA would have tried to negotiate the entire CBA over the last 6 weeks that would encompass any exceptions for this season. Theoretically if the players have comfort that there won't be a salary cap in years forward, maybe they would agree to some revenue-sharing for 2020.
  19. This thread has inspired a rewatch. I'm out of TV to watch anyways.
  20. Booked for Carmel in September. 95% sure I won’t have to reschedule
  21. Players should offer to defer the salary shortfalls this year into the next 3-5 years paid back with interest. Owners can cry poor those years and adjust their off-season free agency plans accordingly. Everyone wins.
  22. This would actually be cool if they play the regional games at neutral site MLB stadiums so they can avoid southern state outdoor day games. A regional at Wrigler/Fenway/Dodger Stadium would be awesome... and not to mention what it would do for college baseball exposure.
  23. Such a great show. So different than everything else on TV.
  24. Agreed
