  1. Funny because I ate Georgian food in Rome, flew back to Austin, but had a long layover in Atlanta. Had a meal in the airport and said to my family, "This Georgian food is much worse than the other Georgian food we had!" They all laughed uproriously when they realized how clever I was to make a joke that an Eastern European country and US state share the same name. My son said, "Dad, you tell the funniest jokes." My wife gave me that look that says, "I love your wit. I'll show you how much when we're alone."
  2. I ate at a Georgian restaurant for the first time last week and I'll just +1 what everyone else said. The food is delicious, the women are beautiful, and the men can put down the alcohol.
  3. @Bookman , there are better words to use.
  4. What in the absolute fuck did I just wake up to?
  5. Yeah, that's what I heard. But that still doesn't explain why ESPN told me Ole Miss went for it on 4th down in a tie game with 30 seconds left in their own territory.
  6. The ESPN game tracker has been absolute shit this year. A couple of times I've seen it show a team go from 3rd and 2 on their opponents 30 to 3rd and 42 on their own 30 because the quarter changed. But the Ole Miss/Georgia game takes the cake. I woke up in Rome this morning at 5:30 to get back to Austin. When I woke up, Georgia had just kicked a field goal with a minute left to tie it up. In the next drive, according to ESPN, Ole Miss ran three plays and got three yards. Then they went for it on 4th and 7 in their own territory in a tie ball game. I saw that on the screen and knew something had to be wrong, but I didn't know what it was. Then on the next play Georgia kicked a field goal to go up 37-34. 20 seconds later, ESPN tells me Georgia got a safety to go up by 5. My son and I were staring at the screen trying to understand what happened, because none of that made sense. But we got in the taxi assuming Georgia won. It wasn't until we were sitting at our gate at the airport that we looked again and realized that Ole Miss had actually won.
  7. Damn, @Tex Pete Are you OK? I hit send on that last post and had a neg within 20 seconds. You always that quick with the trigger?
  8. "Nobody cares" says the guy who keeps bringing it up and cluttering the thread. And for the record, @Tex Pete cares so little about this conversation that his bitch ass went and negged my last two posts on other random threads. And one of them was a legit complaint about the Alamo Drafthouse. Now the other was a half-way decent attempt at sophmoric humor, but I was proud of it. Especially because it played off the post right before it. I just ask everyone to read it in the context of the thread before rendering final judgement.
  9. Bang your mom more.
  10. THANK YOU! The entire Alamo experience revolves around staying off of your phone and now they want us to use it to order.
  11. Thank you. Any argument that starts with, "Somalis usually ..." needs to be completely rejected out of hand. If you have evidence that these particular Somalis committed fraud, then by all means bring it forward and those people should be prosecuted. But this shit is absolutely ridiculous, even before you add on the fact that everyone knows exactly why the GOP is pushing this. "Hispanics are usually good at baseball." OK, but 99.999999% of Hispanics in the United States do not play professional baseball. My best friend is Hispanic and he is the most uncoordinated guy I know and can't hit for shit. For the record, his name is not Jesus, who can definitely hit a curve.
  12. Did the DEI keep them from scoring a touchdown against Miami?
  13. Some of you need to take a deep breath and remember the age-old axiom that you do not, under any circumstances, gotta hand it to MTG. Maybe in a few years, if she atones for all of the hateful shit she has done, beginning with making amends to the children and parents of Parkland High School, then I might consider it. But a puff piece in the New York Times Magazine? C'mon.
  14. Hey Google, asking someone to "rosin up your bow" isn't necessarily sexual.
