Thanks for the rec. I'll watch it this weekend.
On a sort of related note, everyone should watch Summer of Soul, another great Questlove doc about a music festival in Harlem in the 60s.
Stand, you've been sitting much too long
There's a permanent crease in your right and wrong
Stand, there's a midget standing tall
And a giant beside him about to fall
This is my point. He has done as well as could have been expected. But we all knew what his ceiling was the day he was hired, so I don't understand the firing. If I want to get a dog to help with duck hunting and then I go and adopt a shih tzu, I can't be upset when his furry ass doesn't bring me a dead duck.
Except that when Tatum got hurt, game 4 was basically over and the injury had nothing to do with the Knicks being up 3-1.
I'm not a fan of Thibs as a coach, but I hate this firing. He is the same coach today as when he started with NYK. So what were you expecting? You had your best season this century. Sure, he's not going to ever win you a championship, but I would have said that the day he was hired.
Ha ha. I'm in the exact same position. When I go driving with my son, I've been very strict about no distractions. No phones for him or me, no radio at all. But he has been doing pretty good with his driving. I'm at the point where I don't mentally update my will every time he pulls out of the driveway. So yesterday, I turned on Craig Way calling the baseball regional while we drove.
Give me any of the top 3 and I'll be a happy boy. But I don't want anything to do with the bottom 4. Those four have shown they would be willing to cozy up to MAGAts and that shit is just not going to fly. I mean, obviously I would vote for them over Vance or Trump, but I wouldn't be happy about it.
