  1. On a Southwest flight this afternoon and as we're boarding, the flight attendants are telling us that the flight is not even half-full, so everyone will have plenty of room. I grab the window seat in the first empty row I see. One row in front of me are two quite attractive young ladies. The last guy to board is a rather obese, middle-aged man (not sure what his surly handle is) and he plops himself down right in between these two women. The women try to tell him that there are plenty of seats on the plane and they don't have to have three in a row, but he tells them he's cool with the middle seat. The woman in the window seat finally gets up angry as hell and sits in the aisle seat next to me. I'm not exactly sure how this guy saw the whole scenario playing out in his head, but as Michael Scott once said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
  2. Dammit, that was going to be my response. Asshole.
  3. Get the fuck over yourself
  4. Son, we live in a world that has offices, and those offices have to be built by men with power strips and desks. Who's gonna do it? You? My office cube, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves productivity hours. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at your "at-home work space", you want me in that office -- you need me in that office. We use words like "break room," "copiers," "meeting spaces." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent in a LED-lit building with co-workers. You use them as a punch line.
  5. Do the words "mandatory" and "choice" have different meanings in her language?
  6. This is the issue right here.
  7. That and the fact that Putin has kompromat on every Republican through the NRA.
  8. Yep, username fits.
  9. No one likes a braggart.
  10. 5, 1, 3, 4 2, x Easiest captcha ever
  11. Twitter question: I've used instapaper to save links to articles that I see on twitter that I want to read later. But lately it's been working for fewer and fewer sites. Is there something better I should be using? Basically I want Twitter to look like Google Reader circa 2011, when the internet was perfect.
  12. I'm in for the scene where Creed has to negotiate with Vondas over the price of a ream of cardstock.
  13. For the record, I don't want you gunned down. But Stephen Miller and guys of his ilk, whom you support, do want your Persian ass gunned down. I figured you would eventually figure that out, but maybe you got your jersey tailored too small and it's cutting off blood and oxygen to your brain.
  14. [Vicmackey] Is this what heaven looks like? [/Vicmackey]
  15. I have read some dumb shit through the years on this board, but this might take the cake.
  16. Vanilla ice cream brings nothing to the table. It's simply the vehicle that delivers the topping flavor. It's like spaghetti in the way.
  17. It makes sense when you consider more choices leads to paralysis. If you offer me ice cream and my only options are chocolate and vanilla, I'm going chocolate 100% of the time, because vanilla is a ridiculous flavor. However, if you offer me vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, then I'm going to have to think on it. I'll choose either chocolate or strawberry, but it'll depend on what mood I'm in at that moment. Now if you're saying it doesn't make sense, because no one in their right mind should ever consider voting for RFK Jr, well then yes, I agree with you.
  18. Woah, that's not fair. Sure his CBS show got stale towards the end, but you could argue that Late Night revolutionized TV talk shows. And who doesn't love a good top ten list?
