  1. We've done this the last couple of years and it's worked out well. It's definitely a fun wrinkle to a NCAA tournament pool. You pick one team each day of the tournament to win straight-up. If they win, you advance. If you lose, you're out. You can only pick a team once so you may not want to use a #1 seed on the first day. The only exception to the "one pick per day" rule is in the Elite 8 round where you will still have to pick two teams, but you can pick both the Saturday games, both the Sunday games, or one of each. The pool is at https://www.tournamentpools.com/pools.cfm?poolid=182847&p=2&pwd=p9nrt5. If it asks for a password, use p9nrt5. It's $50 to join, but tournamentpools.com does charge $1/entry, so please send me $51. PM me for paypal or venmo details.
  2. I'm in if there is still room. It's a fun contest. I did it for a couple of years, but took last year off.
  3. I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try, except during the playoffs.
  4. Where did you get that dress, it's awful, and those shoes and that coat, jeeeeez!
  5. This was going to be my answer, but I would add in Rachel McAdams to make it a trio.
  6. I have one testicle... Whack-A-Mole accident.
  7. OK, so scratch van Dijk. Who's next on the list?
  8. I just watched the first episode and I have no idea what I just saw. But I'm in.
  9. Yep, I got one about my Microsoft account from "no-reply@microsoft.com" and it took me a little bit to figure out if it was real or not. Had to do some googling on that one to find it was a scam.
  10. I imagine the health inspector would be willing to look the other way if you discreetly slide him a couple of derka dogs under the table.
  11. That was my first time listening to the podcast and y'all did a great job. Thanks for a good discussion of some of the new players.
  12. That might be the second time I've ever heard him say the truth. The other, of course, being when he said he could shoot a guy on 5th Avenue and not lose any support from his followers.
  13. I hope I'm wrong about baseball. But to be honest, I really only watch full baseball games in the playoffs anyway, so it's not a huge deal to me.
  14. Sure, I was exaggerating. We'll see what happens with these new rules about pitch clocks this year, but I'm not super optimistic.
  15. Huh? Last-minute football drives when a team is down go pretty fast. Close basketball games turn into a foul-fest. Close baseball games slow down because the batter has to adjust his gloves after every pitch, pitchers have to take a stroll around the mound, managers have to replace the pitcher after every hitter, etc. I guess soccer and hockey go at a frantic pace near the end if a team is down by a goal. If the game is tied, both teams play for overtime.
  16. #4 would completely change end-of-game scenarios. Now if have the ball and you're up by a score with a couple of minutes left, you can run or pass it. No worries about stopping the clock. I don't like it at all.
  17. Starts the thread with very scant details and says don't blame the wife. Is ready to call the repair guy at the drop of a hat. Doesn't even know the brand of the washer. Clearly we are talking to the wife. Now I'm worried about what happened to closetohumping.
  18. Or her tweet could have just been a way to steal the limelight from Biden's badass Ukraine trip.
  19. In the internet's defense, they were focused on Tawny Kitaen and not the music.
  20. Sure, but I never learned the backstory of a red shirt and how they joined Starfleet to support their gay, deaf sister who was being held hostage by Klingons on Roston Four in the Nebula Galaxy.
