  1. I would argue that those are the very intended consequences for DeSantis. I spend my summers leading trainings for AP teachers around the country. Last summer, I did one in Florida and teachers were already worried about what they could and could not teach. I'm scheduled to do another one next month in another Florida school district and I honestly don't know what to say to them. I know the teachers on the ground are scared. I would like to show up and console them and tell them that as long as they teach the AP curriculum, they'll be fine. But I don't know if that is correct or not, because the legislation is so broadly written. I would ask the school district that hired me to train their teachers, but they don't know either. It's a clusterfuck, but please understand that it is an intentional clusterfuck.
  2. In no particular order: Jackson Pop Auerbach Riley Kerr And to be honest, I don't know how you can argue with those 5. You can argue the order for sure, but I don't know who else goes on that list.
  3. Which ones are you referring to? Theroux as Liddy really is spot on. In the 90s, I worked as a DJ at an AM talk radio station that ran Liddy's show. He was a more conservative Limbaugh who railed on the federal government for Waco and Ruby Ridge. But his voice and mannerisms are exactly like Theroux makes him out to be. And he would bring up the most random topics in his insane ramblings. Sometimes it was about self defense, sometimes it was about how to study when you go to law school, sometimes it was about the best weapon to use when federal agents were busting down your door.
  4. Fantastic choice I thought I'd make the big time I learned a lot of lessons awfully quick And now I'm tellin' you that they were not the nice kind It has been so long since I have felt fine
  5. Ndamukong Suh. End of the list.
  6. I never knew that I had a Lena Headey cos-playing as a 70s housewife/former spy fetish, but hey, here we are!
  7. If a Sonic employee saved my life with an AR, then I would consider tipping them. But otherwise, no tipping at Sonic.
  8. Should probably sprinkle in some Art Briles as well: "Those are some bad dudes. Why was she around those guys?"
  9. She said that if the informant doesn't want to be found, we're not gonna find him. She said I could be the informant and you wouldn't know it. Are you the informant? No. I'm not the informant. That's two down.
  10. Gotta bump this because I was thinking about my grandfather today, the world's biggest Jim Croce fan. His favorite songs were Roller Derby Queen and Working at the Car Wash Blues. And, of course, we played Time in a Bottle at his funeral.
  11. Thanks for the arrow, but that still doesn't tell me if Bandera is getting the UT game on ABC this weekend.
  12. Make sure your shovel is attached to the side of the pickup so you can easily dig a hole for the body.
  13. Oh, so now you care where a president was born? I don't remember you complaining about Obama being born in Kenya. Checkmate, libtard. And don't come back with that "Obama was born in Hawaii bullshit." Hawaii or Kenya doesn't matter, he was born overseas so he can't be president.
  14. Respect for that. He's still a dumbass, but a dumbass for more understandable reasons.
  15. So Anderson Cooper's argument is, "Well, he's the frontrunner and people support him." But, who made him the motherfuckin' frontrunner? It's like ESPN talking about New York sports teams 24/7 then saying, "We cover the Knicks and the Jets because that's what people want to hear about."
  16. I understand this situation all too well. My boys, Mug and Seven, were teased mercilessly when they were younger.
  17. Too late. Surly incels found an attractive woman to blame for something they disliked in pop culture.
  18. Sad to hear about MTV News, but Remote Control is still on, right?
  19. If it was directed at a group or an individual, then the poster would definitely be suspended (assuming the hamsters spinning the wheel running this place are working).
  20. Good point. I'm not saying he will be fired, because I have no clue. He should be, but I don't know if he will be.
  21. No, it's a huge deal. Think of it like this: if someone posted that shit here on surly, he would be suspended. If it's too offensive for surly, it's definitely too offensive for a public figure to say on a radio station.
