I didn't realize there was a Lodi, NJ. This guy knew the song was about his California town and wasn't happy about it. Since he was a customer, I figured I shouldn't press the matter and let it go. But I really wanted to ask, "So getting out of your hometown is the subject of one of the greatest rock songs of all time. How does that feel?"
I was at a conference a few years ago in Sacramento and met a guy from Lodi. I said, "Oh wow, like the Creedence song?". He said, "Well yes, but we don't usually mention that."
OK, fair, but it is an amazing song.
It's been a while (early 2000s) since I've been to Dauphin Island, but it was pretty rural at the time. So if you're looking to escape crowds, it's a good place to be. But if you're looking to escape crowds, why are you going anywhere on the Gulf Coast during Spring Break?
Watched the first episode last night and laughed out loud several times. I'm definitely in.
I love the Space Ghost vibe as the cartoon interviews real-life people. "I once got an erection while reading Plato's The Republic."
WTF Pelosi?!?
This pisses me off. It's possible to have some serious moral qualms about the slaughter of innocent Palestinians without being on Putin's payroll.
