  1. True agile has that in tier 7 of the testing, which is customer-testing. Windows boot, post-deployment, will now be part of the "DOA Testing" adding 5 minutes to the CI, slowing developers.
  2. Agile for the win? Happened to me last night around 1130PM CT. Given it was not yet widespread and workarounds prepared, I followed the typical approach for this: reinstall w/ saving personal files. Well, sily me... I neglected to realize that a reinstallation of Windows would NOT reinstall the corporate image. FML. That said, even for technically savvy people, the process of fixing a corporate-image-installed will be a bit painful: request to boot into safe mode, enter the bitlocker key - that you will have to get off of your phone authenticated to your business (using mobile Edge), boot, remove a file. BTW, writing this from my Mac.
  3. I find the E & J show somewhat like the discussions at a family Thanksgiving get-together. One brother (E) works for a right-winger and is trying to convince himself (and everyone else) that he's moderate (he really is) without impacting his gravy train. This brother is a well loved "goofball" in hi friend group. The other brother (J) is a moderate-libertarian who thinks he's smarter than everyone. His smarts have resulted in a distressed family life and myriad failed relationships. (E) capitulates, realizing it's only 1x per year (or 2 hours per day) and takes the high road. Fwiw - I use their podcast as the background noise as I try to fall asleep some nights
  4. I have lived in 3 states since I was 2 years old (> 5 decades): Alabama, Indiana, Texas (alphabetically). Trifecta!
  5. Imagine if he had split his time developing his shot with developing his video game acumen. He'd have at least 1 3-pt FG at this point. Paying fans should be glad they are only being subjected to this BS in summer league. Even Reddick is not stupid enough to give Bronny real minutes. That said, let Bronny and Lebron start game 1 together. Have Jr. heave a 3 and feign a hamstring injury, allowing him to join the pro E-sports ranks.
  6. Bronny and I have the same NBA 3-pt shooting percentage. Gonna make sure I brag to my family and coworkers this week.
  7. Will refrain from asking @Nicole44 her middle name re: Rainey.
  8. If only Rozelle would have let him buy an NFL team.
  9. I hope I do not get banned for this, but each of us is going to die. Not much we can do about it. Wishing death on someone is a colossal waste of emotional energy.
  10. Westbrook w/o the appeal and athleticism? Barkley talks about high stats players on shitty teams. Perhaps the WNBA equivalent of Barkley needs to step up.
  11. "Let me get my shoes" https://www.mediaite.com/trump/let-me-get-my-shoes-microphone-captures-trumps-comments-just-after-shooting/ Followed a drudge link (perhaps to my disappointment)
  12. What in the ever-living fuck? He should be ashamed - and then impeached.
  13. IMO, we should not try to turn this into a 2nd amendmant rights, laws, Indiana farmer, etc. thing. Criminals will always find a way to have access to the materials to be criminals.
  14. Reagan visited Purdue when I was a Sr. in HS, landing at the WL airport. The Secret Service was all over the crowd, etc. At one point, Reagan went "off script" and stepped up on the door sill of his bullet proof limo. EVERY secret service agent instantly became 1000% more attentive. He went off script. Not good. I am sure he was chastised for it. FIL's friend was a SS agent under LBJ. If the POTUS goes off script, the SS lets him know.
  15. I was wondering how long this would take.
  16. Holy crap. I thought it was that guy's real hair in the visor. Turns out you can buy a visor w/ replica Trump hair https://www.amazon.com/HAFKOIS-Spiked-Novelty-Baseball-Birthday/dp/B0CZ87KK3S/
  17. Shit, so we have to suffer through Mackovic again? Let’s just hope GGG’s successor has our 2026 WC team at 1995 levels and not 1997 levels. This feels more like 1997 Mackovic to me. Talent? Yes. Coaching? No. That said, there is an “inmates running the asylum feel” to GGG that jives with McWilliams.
  18. Was GGG our Charlie Strong or our Tom Herman?
  19. Absolutely. And grayer. Austin gets 227 days of sunlight per year. Eugene: 157.
  20. I'll continue the weather talk, but I really think that has little to do with it (no inside info). No surprise, Texas is warmer than Oregon in the summer. The mild summer temperatures in the Pac NW and Midwest almost make the winters worth it. Almost.
  21. Comparing any college player to any MLB Hall of Famer seems like a fool's errand, but it is Surly. Fwiw, Maddux, Warren Spahn, and Gaylord Perry all had lifetime BAA of around 0.240. They did not walk many, so their lifetime OP%-A are in the 0.280 area - which is true for many HOF pitchers. WHIP for the above: 1.143, 1.195, and 1.181, respectively. Let's not get Helobius'd by this one
  22. That article highlights some of the other deferred contracts that are still being paid out. Bobby Bonilla - Mets paying him $1.19mm per year through 2035 Bret Saberhagen - Mets paying him $250k per year through 2029 Ken Griffy, Jr. - Reds paying him $3.59mm per year through this year (he was the 4th highest paid red in 2023) Manny Ramirez - Red Sox paying him $2mm per year from 2011 through 2027 A couple other notes on Bonilla's deal. Mets owed him $5.9mm in 2000 and decided to use their high returns from their Madoff investment to fund the annuity. Oops. Apparently Bonilla spent money as fast as it came in. Bonilla's agent liked the deal because it *might* guarantee Bonilla would not be broke in 2002.
  23. Just throw it at the bull. Trust me.
