  1. And the rest go to Sam Houston State. Not crazy to me at all, these guys all sucked
  2. Good shit, I think all your points are spot on from my impressions
  3. So, do these guys seriously think Worthy wouldn't burn Jamier Johnson when in single coverage? Only a large, long, AND fast corner has a prayer against a player like Worthy in that situation, only guy we have like that is Watts. Or a really long LB getting a lucky swat on the pass, which very nearly occured.
  4. Some observations from in person viewing. Safeties look improved over last year, addition by subtraction, and some actual addition. Allen looked great, and Crawford had one play to the flat that he overran badly, but his reaction time and speed are nice and overall looked great as well. Watts dominated Dixon, no contest at all. Watts vs Neyor was a much better battle and I like what I saw from both of these guys. Helm is hands down the best blocker and will see a lot of the field this season because of it. God help us if we ever have to field Washington, Dixon, and Harrison together in a real game. In person Ewers was underwhelming, but the few times he was given a not complete ass OL and WR targets he made good reads and good throws. Card exhibited the sharpest arm and footwork, but since he can't hit the deep ball he's practically useless long term in a sark offense Throw most everything else out regarding the offense, there really needs to be a lot more 1s v 1s in practice sessions This hardly needs repeating but fuck Herb Hand
  5. What I want to know is why the fuck is 1s vs 2s even a thing?
  6. Fine I should have specified on the defense, I don't think an RB no matter how impressive will have much to say to a DL or DE about how to go about their jobs. Or do you think he should be yelling at his OL? An RB ain't shit by himself and Bijan is smart enough to know that. Every guy on the DL and OL is playing like a jag because they're not holding each other accountable to the standard of a championship unit. Bo Davis and Kyle Flood likely do not disagree
  7. Are you suggesting there is a sure fire day one pick Junior on the team? Or that only sure fire day one picks have the right to call out teammate work ethic?
  8. The NLAW is making the biggest splash here so far, Saab stock is going to soar. Offensive tech is far outpacing defensive tech and the Russian army is wholly unprepared for modern guerilla warfare. I'm guessing this conflict will spell the end of heavy armor, defensive systems are extremely costly in the face of the options available to defeat them
  9. In what way are they running the same playbook as the USSR?
  10. I mean, you gotta assume the area is flooded with Kubs and Buks on both sides no? Again, it's more a moot point since the debris is clearly not from a missile, but an aircraft of some sort.
  11. While they're meant to dodge and be unpredictable in the the terminal phase, cruise missiles are definitely not impossible to take out. Both the Kalibr and Tomahawk are vulnerable to modern air defense. Anyway, I think the burning wreck is not a cruise missile, it's falling from way too high and with too much material mass to be a missile being downed. Beyond that it's hard to say, it could be anything from a large drone to a Tupolev strategic bomber. But most likely a fighter, imo.
  12. They travel at subsonic speeds, so yes, any method of anti-air can bring down a cruise missile if they have the proper guidance
  13. They might not have wanted to initially. The more Ukraine resists then the more Russia will throw at them
  14. Russia is way scarier on the defense than on the offense. Striking into Moscow would be incredibly difficult, hence the Cold part of the Cold War. There is hardly a scenario where US and Russia would meet in a conventional land war. Any serious conflict would necessitate endgame weapons and that's pretty much a no win scenario. Same for China, perhaps doubly so, which is why hypersonics are all the rage right now
  15. ??? The Antonov cargo craft are absolutely nothing like any western designs.
  16. Shock and awe was coined at the start of the initial Iraq invasion. US military doctrine was centered around show them how much boom boom we have. War is always messy, but this and that are apples to oranges comparisons. Munitions are also completely different here, and even 2003 strikes vs 2022 strikes won't look the same. This looks to outsiders as a very strong day 1 attack but so far it is nowhere near what it could be. Time will tell how force escalates
