Surly Horns Road Trip Part Deux Electric Boogaloo
Got in to ETX at 7 this morning. Couldn't have asked for a better time including the killer tailgate. Hope I connected with some of you degenerates. Hoping to make another home game and do it all again.

Poetic Justice: How Texas puts an end to the monster they created
And I am the opposite. I skimmed your post and agreed without giving it full thought 😂

Poetic Justice: How Texas puts an end to the monster they created
Love the insight and agree on your points. I didn't want to sound like another amateur analyst and took the hopeful fan approach. But I stand by the fact that big time programs fare better in big time games regardless of recent history (Strong years excluded for obvious reasons).

Poetic Justice: How Texas puts an end to the monster they created
Here we go again Texas vs Bama Part Deux but this time we are rolling into the hostile territory of Bryant Denny Stadium. Last year at this time we were 20 point dogs and didn’t stand a chance against Saban as he and his 5 star fueled Death Star came to Austin. This team included 3 first rounders and 8 total picks in the first 2 days of the 2023 draft but they needed to yet again injure a Texas QB and get some Big 12 ref magic to squeak out a 1 point victory. Was this a case of Saban slipping a little bit or was Texas and Steve Sarkisian finally pulling out of their decades of mediocrity? Based on how each team finished the season it seems like more of the former as Bama lost to Tennessee for the first time in Saban’s tenure while LSU and the fighting Kelly’s beat them in an OT mid-off. During this time Texas finished 7-4 with a couple of big wins and a couple embarrassing losses. To pull off the biggest win in years Texas has to do to buck the following trends: 1. Texas mediocrity: For the past 13 years Texas has been the laughingstock of CFB and failed to live up to expectations exactly once (2018) but even then lost 4 games including a laugher to Maryland. Can Texas finally win a monster on the road and officially claim to be back for good? 2. Sevin Win Sark: Out of his 7 full seasons as a head coach Sark has won more than 7 games only 3 times. Even his biggest backers here couldn’t name a matchup of this magnitude that he has coached his team to a win in. Will he be able to finally get a big win on the road and a new nickname by years end? 3. Saban’s Dominance at Home: Saban at Alabama has won 103 and lost just 8 games at home since taking over in 2007. The current streak sits at 21 games since a team last walked out of Tuscaloosa with a win. Has Saban finally jumped the shark All the daunting trends and statistics aside here is why Texas is going to shut up all of the talking heads and pull out a dominating victory in Tuscaloosa: 1. We’re fucking Texas: Other fanbases and media will laugh at the notion that the Texas decal on the helmet means anything but disappointment but since the beginning of time Texas has dared to play big games and more often than not came out ahead. Texas has a winning record against every other Blue Blood except USC and ND. If you exclude the annual matchup with OU the total record is 25-21. But what about on the road you ask? Texas in 9-8 in true road games against the non OU Blue Bloods. No University of Texas player, coach, or fan is going to be fazed by the atmosphere, this type of game is why you choose the University of Texas. 2. Saban’s Swan Song: It is no secret that Alabama has lost their CFB throne to Georgia over the last 2 seasons but they are still 1B in the CFB pecking order. Saban has built up a lot of trust in his program to warrant the #3 ranking in a year when they lost a Heisman QB, all world defender, and do it all RB. Recruiting rankings suggest they just reloaded and will keep rolling but this is not your Uncle’s Alabama. To replace Bryce Young they tapped Jalen Milroe to assume the throne at QB despite their best efforts to buy an elite QB in the portal. If his game against the aggies is any indication than it will be a long night for Saban in Tuscaloosa. 3. Poetic Justice: Since that night at the Rose Bowl Texas has coveted a seat at the table that they once had a standing reservation at. Year after year we have had to sit by and watch an Alabama dynasty reel off championship after championship that was propelled by an injury to a Texas QB. Every dominant program has an alpha and omega when the world either knows you have arrived or that the end is near. In tandem the alpha and omega happened for Alabama and Texas on January 7th, 2010 while millions looked on. This Saturday will be the bookend moment for both of these programs as Texas beacons to the world that they are in fact back while leaving Alabama faithful wondering what will be next for their beloved program. The stars are aligned for a big night for the Horns in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Quinn has an opportunity to show us why he is the highest rated QB of all time and cement his legacy as a Texas QB. Sark is gunning to come full circle from wonderkid when he was hired at UW to a seasoned veteran HC with a career defining year. This team fucks and will prove it on the field in primetime. See yall in Tuscaloosa, I will be in U4-CC. Hook ‘em “The pride and winning tradition of The University of Texas will not be entrusted to the weak or the timid”

Why Texas Stomps a Mudhole In Alabama's Ass
I feel that but I woke up Sunday ready to run through a brick wall. Ready for the neg train if 7 win Sark shows his true colors once again.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Sorry just a little amped up that we're 5 days away from fucking up Bama at their place and so many here are complaining about 3 bad throws. 🤘

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
There is 0 chance that any team just over protects the middle/short routes and dares Quinn to beat them deep with WRs streaking wide open deep.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
ESPNs QBR is out of whack for the college level. Passer Rating/Passing Efficiency seems to be better suited. Quinn was 34th at 169.3 and would have been 15th at 206.76 if Brooks and JT dont drop that TDs. QBR says Chandler Morris had a better day with less than 60% completion and 2 picks. Whereas Passer Rating had him in the 80s and 50 points lower than Quinn. It also has the UMass having a better QBR with 51% completion with 240 yards, 0 TDs and a pick over two games. Rating has him in the 90s and 58 points lower than Quinn. Same with the WVU QB and a few more but let's stop with the QBR nonsense that ESPN puts out. Their system is fine tuned for the NFL.

Tceh suffers crushing 2OT defeat at Wyoming
The Tech Oregon game opened up with Oregon as a 7 point favorite for the bettors out there. Seems like easy money

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Quinn was much less of a problem than the OL blocking and running backs getting us behind the chains. Sure he needs to hit the deep throws but not getting any help from those two lowered the offensive output yesterday. Bama will be there for the taking if those units get their act together.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Yall need to chill out on the MM bs. He was repeatedly losing his job to a true freshman leading into the season. QE will be fine and get picked in thr first 3 rounds after the season. 4 TDs and no picks is a much better game than his 2 Tds and a pick last year. He'll show up big next week and somebody will bitch that he missed 1 deep ball and that MM needs to start.
- Week 2, 2023: Texas @ Alabama
-
Week 2: Texas @ Bama score prediction
Texas 24 Bama 17 285 total yards. Quinn breaks the tie on an AD Mitchell slant before the defense closes it out.
- Week 1 2023 - Rice @ Texas

Surly Horns Stampede To Tuscaloosa
Finally talked a group of 3 friends into going. We will come by if I can get them on the road early enough.

2023 Fall Camp Thread of Dominance
We will have 2 opportunities in the first 3 weeks to have backups play the 4th. Sark isn't going to waste reps on Murphy if Arch has already supplanted him. Also if Murphy is already falling behind he will want a fresh start in the spring at whatever school takes him. There will be a equal or better option than Murphy in the portal that can push Arch and give some insurance behind him

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
Isn't he at Bama week 2? Would be a huge to have him watch back to back games especially with a top 5 win

2023 Fall Camp Thread of Dominance
Murphy is going to get so much media hype next season for whichever SEC school takes him. He'll light up offseason videos and north east western state while Manning starts at Michigan in his 2nd game. I'm sure some here will bitch and moan if he struggles out of the gate while Murphy is lighting it up against nobodies.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
RE Wingo. If he lands at Mizzou soon then we should have a solid chance to flip him later in the year. They start out with FCS, MTSU, K State, Memphis and Vandy. They should be 4-1 at that point but will face LSU, Kentucky, USC jr, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas. That finish is 4-3 at best with 0-7 as the downside depending on how those teams shake out. If we win 10+ and Mizzou is any where near 5-7 I dont see a way they hold on to Wingo. In both of his full recruiting classes Sark has flipped an elite talent that was lost before the season (Banks/Hill) while adding some surprises late (Worthy/Brooks). Who is the best candidates for the 5 star flips this year? Wingo or Hudson would be the 2 best guesses if they commit soon to schools that have a real chance of being 7-5 or worse.

2023 Fall Camp Thread of Dominance
Not many people hate Texas like Thamel does.

Realignment talk not going away
They care about football now that they see the value Oregon/Washington just added by investing in it. 10 solid seasons and they would be a good Big 10 add if they add to go to 24

Tell Me About Texas a&m
The Ags are convinced that all of their locker room issues are fixed the day their two best receivers got into a fight.
