  1. If I am remembering correctly 105.3 the fan once said he was the human version of a brown leather belt and nothing has ever made more sense.
  2. Duke is a perfect fit for him since he went to Penn and his son is going to Northwestern (for the time being).
  3. From looking at the consensus 4 stars in Texas and positions we of need it could be: Bryce Anderson Terrance Brooks Tavarus Jones Caleb Burton Chris Marshall On another note 4 star rankings should stop after 250 or so.
  4. I have a feeling this goes down publicly today. Nothing better than a Friday at 5 news dump to get the weekend started. And as all of us on this thread can attest the hype around his destination has waned quite a bit the last 3 days.
  5. Pruitt just sued Tennessee for firing him and his show cause probably keeps him in the pros for at least another year.
  6. Oregon is one of the industry leaders in NIL. Phil Knight alone could contribute enough to make recruiting a breeze for any coach
  7. Quinn has a 1860 Cattle Company hat on from Leona, TX. Has Sam Houston State entered the chat?
  8. So he would still choose to sit on the fence and not put anything definitive out there? Shocking news there I tell ya
  9. I think they missed bad on Banks but other than that it has seemed par for industry standards. We will see if he can survive if we miss on Denver
  10. The Tech flirtation seemed to have two goals in my unsourced and generally uncalled for opinion. 1. The Ewers seemed to upset a lot of Texas high school coaches (no source just reading the room) by jumping ship a few weeks before the season started and potentially opening a can of worms for future stars. This was amended by pumping up McGuire and getting Riley Dodge in the spotlight as a future college coach. 2. They are a savvy family and knew the value of trying to leverage those relationships at Tech and TCU. If the Ketch numbers are correct then I would assume this moved quadrupled his original NIL projections at Texas. I do believe he would have went to Tech if Texas balked at the thought of matching and exceeding their NIL opportunities but they knew how desperate we were to make this happen.
  11. So the head coach didn't do an in home two days before he was set to be in Texas? That reminds me of Mark Cuban filming Shark Tank while the GM met with free agents.
  12. The NCAA should come after all the bag programs right now. They had to turn a blind eye when everybody was doing it illegally. They could point to Texas and all the other schools doing it legally and hammer them with infractions for continuing to cheat when it wasn't necessary
  13. There are two ways to look at this and neither are great optics for aggy. 1. He knows that aggys standards are so low that he will retire as a demi god without ever making an SEC championship. 2. He has already made enough money to not care about winning it all again. He knows LSU has a realistic chance to win a championship once or twice a decade and still chose to take less money to avoid the pressure
  14. This tweet was liked by Stewart for any of you needing any more gruntling today
  15. Same here. You know who else was desperate to get back to top of the sport? Alabama when the guaranteed an unheard of $32 million over 8 years to Saban. Luckily we have all the surly guys like you that are both desperate and savy enough to lead the charge to pace the field in NIL. What those dolts don't understand is that if Sark fails here then the world class NIL will make this job the cream of the crop and allow an elite coaches who hate recruiting to actually jump ship and not have to worry about talent acquisition ever again.
  16. If you are looking for quantity over quality in CFS in Tyler head out to Loggins. Down side is eating amongst the largest collection of Manziel and aggy memorabilia you'd ever see.
  17. The funny thing about all of the aggy tears stating we are ruining NIL and being desperate. They overpaid a mediocre coach and will be the main factor in ruining the coaching market when some of these 10 year deals start failing. They got desperate and now the going rate for average is $100 million and a decade of guarantees. At least when we set the market the kids will be the ones benefiting and not the old farts who could care less about the universities that write their checks.
  18. I wish 247 would reclassify him just to see the tortured tears of aggys crying foul. Lucky for us that class with Stewart would put us at 294.89 and leave aggy with 294.81.
