  1. I concur that we need to ride Miami up the rankings but they likely stay put if UVA wins the ACC. The committee wont leave the ACC out with 10-2 Miami sitting there while 2 G5s come in in last minute. UVA winning with the h2h vs miami likely lets them justify more space between ND and Miami. To add to the original plan add in Marcus Freeman and or Deboer leaving and I think this plan goes way up.
  2. Texas a&m is currently set to play in their first post season game in program history where they are not eliminated from championship discussions. In their 1939 championship the final AP poll was released after the regular season and that was not changed until 1965. Every other year that it would have mattered they were ineligible for bowls due to NCAA infractions. Here is a list of around 35 teams that have played a post season game with NC implications before they did. Regular Bowl games 1965-1991 Michigan State, Arkansas, Alabama, Nebraska, USC, Ohio State, Texas Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburg, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Clemson, BYU, West Virginia, Colorado, Georgia Tech (coaches poll), Washington (coaches poll) Bowl Coalition (1992–1994) Florida State Bowl Alliance (1995–1997) Florida, Michigan Bowl Championship Series (1998–2013) Tennessee, Virginia Tech, LSU, Oregon, Auburn, Playoff Era (2014-Present) TCU, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Boise State, SMU, Indiana, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and finally Texas a&m TBD (Tulane Virginia Duke James Madison and North Texas)
  3. To cancel Ohio state is $1 million. Side note look who signed the original agreement... https://www.scribd.com/document/514528804/Texas-Game-Contract-2025-2026 To cancel Michigan is $2 million. Could have canceled for free when the sec added for games but it's too late now. https://www.scribd.com/document/514530224/Texas-2024-2027-fb To cancel ND could be $1.5 million this far out based on their agreement with Ohio state based on an old contract. https://www.scribd.com/document/514529262/Notre-Dame-Game-Contract-2022-2023
  4. The power 2 has 8 of 12 teams. The other two may only get 1 each in to the playoffs. They're already getting the respect they deserve
  5. If this had come to fruition Texas is in the playoffs..
  6. Adding Anderson would bump us to #4 and Martinez would bump us to #2 and over 300 which has historically guaranteed a top 3 class.
  7. I understand why the AP has to box score watch but the committee has 2 days to watch more than just stats. They also have 2 plus days to get inundated with propaganda which we have been very good at since Friday night. Miami on the other has been silent. There are levels to this shit.
  8. 7 years under Saban and 10 under smart. Coached with lanning as well. That's about as solid as it gets. My only worry is that he's a ginger.
  9. The more wealthy people i meet the more i realize 99% of them got rich despite their intelligence level (on things outside of their trade) In the modern era USC is doomed without major changes. He beats the teams he's supposed to and can recruit very well. With a competent DC he'd do no worse than Sark has done to this point.
  10. Don't be surprised if the steelers open too
  11. Nobody on staff hopefully. My personal list would have been In no order Lane Lincoln Riley with PK Freeman if he'd leave the North Maybes Glen Schumann from Georgia Mullen with NIL would be fun Traylor as the absolute final decent option
  12. Failing as a HC and Coaching patrick mahomes is the easiest path to a NFL head coaching job.
  13. Just something to keep an eye on Sark jumped to 13% and 3rd in odds to be the Titans next coach last Tuesday and has stayed around there.
  14. Here's what I remember. Up 44 on Tech and throwing the ball in the 4th
  15. Let's start boycottin NIL donors for other programs. BYU- Crumbl LSU- canes Texas a&m- Bucees and any local insurance agent
  16. Wednesday announcement likely means it's rankings related.
  17. The committee was obligated to do that last year but there are plenty of years around that teams have fallen out of the final rankings without playing games. They likely wont punish Alabama but a 3 score loss should move them out if its not competitive,
  18. ND would never since they are firmly in but the game should be against Miami to force the committees hand against ND. BYU and Coastal Carolina did this in 2020 at the last minute.
  19. With the SEC going to 9 games they should should institute two rules to be eligible for a 5th home SEC game in any given year. If not have fun going to Athens or Austin every other year. No FCS after September One road P4 game every 2-3 years.
  20. Missed Illinois, Michigan State, Duke, Florida State, and Cincy.
  21. Not in favor of canceling but my list of P4 teams we should schedule. These are the only Power schools we have never defeated, would like to see that in my lifetime just to say we did it. North Carolina State Syracuse Virginia Tech Minnesota Northwestern In the SEC all we lack is South Carolina but we will get them soon.
  22. So the top 4 get a double bye?
  23. Guess which of one our esteemed writers has us as the 13th best team in the AP poll 2 spots behind Virginia?
