  1. Your hypothesis lacks sufficient background research and/or film. In order to construct a hypothesis you need background research or in this case game film. Only from there, can you form a hypothesis. The next step would be to test your hypothesis by doing an experiment (practice/game). Then analyze your data and draw a conclusion(s).
  2. LSU's OL IMO is still TBD. While they did great against GA Southern. It still remains to be seen if they can do it against better competition.
  3. When did I say that? I said you had no film on LSU. So is Texas going to watch OU and/or Texas Tech film to prepare for LSU?
  4. All of LSU's QBs, RBs, WRs, played spread in HS.
  5. You do know the schemes put the talent (recruits) in position to succeed? It's not mutually exclusive.
  6. So Texas doesn't watch film? They don't do game prep? They're prepared for all spread concepts with 8 new starters on defense? Got it. Thanks.
  7. Honest Question: Who has the advantage as it relates to preparation for this game? Your defensive coordinators/analysts/consultants have spent hours combing over 2018 LSU film all spring and summer; scouting offensive alignments, personnel, tendencies, maybe they even looked at some Saints/Penn State film. Now Texas' defensive coordinators/analysts/consultants have to prepare for a whole new offense in 5 days off of 1 game tape; get familiar with match-ups and personnel groupings and alignments, can't really trust the tendencies off of 1 game tape. On top of that Texas is still breaking in 8 new starters on defense; will your LBs and CBs trust their reads? On the flip side: LSU's 2-year book on Herman and Ehlinger is still intact.
  8. So we beat a team 55-3 (42-3 half), we're 7-7 in redzone, gave up zero sacks. And our o-line is "pretty bad". How exactly does that work? I think it's pretty safe to say you don't know shit. "eye ball test" LOL.
  9. What game are you referring to? We didn't give up a sack against GA Southern and our QB was only hit once.
  10. Half of our defense with was out the game. Greedy was out to due to the draft, Fehoko and Fulton were DNP due to injury, Delpit and Terrance Alexander were ejected. Jacob Philips was suspended the first half. Kelvin Joesph was suspended for the game. We literally had WRs (Mannie Netherly & Jontre Kirklin) playing CB vs UCF.
  11. 3 of those TD drives started at the LSU 48, the GSU 26, and the GSU 25. Against a terrible defense. I understand not wanting injury or to run up the score, but with a new offense there might be a need to work on specific wrinkles against a live opponent - especially considering the opponent upgrade the following week. I think our defense will suffice.
  12. You think they'll be updating that LSU Offensive Preview/Overview?
  13. You shouldn't compare camp scrimmage stats to opponent game stats. Camp scrimmages are controlled environments where not as much in-game variability comes into play. And I wouldn't categorize Burrow as the weak link to our offense, I would reserve that for our OL, specifically RT. In 2018, Burrow had to learn a new (pro-style/under center) offense in less than a month while competing. We've only had one significant fall camp injury to the OL. The rest of the non-practicing injuries have more to do with load management. I believe everybody will be ready to go week 1.
  14. It's a "scrimmage" against arguably a top 10 defense. What did you expect?
  15. I like the confidence. I'm liking our matchups against your CBs and LBs; doesn't sound like there's a lot of confidence your CBs from the coaches. I'm interested in seeing what Orlando's base package will be.
  16. To be clear, Joe Burrow went from the spread offense at Ohio State (2 years), to a pro-style offense in 2018. Spread concepts aren't foreign to him, especially now that he has a full year of development and cohesion under his belt. Most of our WRs also came from spread offenses in HS. To be honest, the only person that really needed education on the spread was our OC Steve Ensminger (hints the Joe Brady - Passing Game Coordinator hire).
  17. Quick Observation from an LSU Fan - @sushihorn OP doesn't provide any context. Burrow arrived at LSU on August 1, 2018 (Fall Camp Check-In), prior to this he had never worked with any of his QB Coordinator, WR Corp, or offensive linemen. He also had never ran a pro-style offense prior to arriving LSU. So not only did he have to assimilate a brand new offense in less than a month, he also had to develop in-season continuity with his WR corp; with showed in his QB progression in the latter part of the season.
