  1. 1. Wingo will lead the team in Touchdown receptions. 2. Moore will lead in yards and catches. 3. Stanford kid and Parker will have around the same numbers. 20-25 catches with 4 TD 4. If CB4 gets truly healthy they catches and touchdowns for the RB jump. He has the best hands of all the running backs. 5. Cal kid - 8 Touchdowns
  2. 😂 Everybody who meet that wonderful lady and her lovely husband walked away impressed. Coaches loved her and her taste in luxury SUVs as well. The biological dad got pushed out that recruitment by the mom and step dad. He was the only one who saw the bigger picture.
  3. They have had some bust for sure. The only kid I’ve been sold on in the last five years from North Shore has been Sanchez. He came to work as a freshman and his parents let him get coached which is becoming rare these days. They had no problem with him getting chewed out or held accountable. a lot of the previous high profile guys had very problematic parents/advisors.
  4. The North Shore issue is more of a 7v7 and trainer issue than a coaching staff issue. Coach K wasn’t anti Texas and he hasn’t been there for a couple of years.
  5. From the JT side I can confirm that he doesn’t have a problem being in the same class as Ojo. He has even texted Ojo about it. I will say Ojo is really feeling himself and when he makes comments about being the number one tackle in the country he means that and expects to get treated and paid as that. His NIL ask is way higher that JT3. Texas just needs to make sure they continue to make JT3 feel like a priority cause there have been times where they acted like it was a done deal and didn’t put in the required time. As of today I expect Texas to get both. They are going to match on Ojo and the officials visit with JT3 went really really and capitalized on some built in advantages.
  6. Texas offered but really didn’t make a strong push. Gideon was a big fan but communication changed once the coaching switch occurred. A Big 12 school is being really aggressive right now and that’s where I expect him to commit.
  7. Texas has some built in advantages with JT. His dad is not anti Texas at all. Texas eventually is going to have to decide who is the actual priority at Left Tackle is. They took a guy who believes he is playing tackle and sit in a good spot with 3 highly ranked tackles. It’s only so long that you get to tell multiple kids you are the absolute priority at a position. The recruiting world is small and recruiting reporters make it even smaller.
  8. For this to work recruiting wise Texas better be ready to spend NIL wise and the new CB coach better have a lot of energy on the road and in person. If he is a good recruiter this set up is going to be good for the longhorns.
  9. Yeah Joseph was hired to run his 2 high look for Muschamp. When Coach Boom backed out we kept the staff we hired for him. That’s why year one was pretty dysfunctional because PK didn’t specialize in cover 2/4. We brought Patterson in teach the quarters/cover 4 and he was able to bridge the gap between PK and the 2 High back end. We had our best year this past year and we used way more cover 3. That’s where PK is most comfortable.
  10. This is a Nansen hire. He was behind the surge last year to bring him on as an analyst. The plan to hire him has been in place for a while, and if Blake would have stayed and Terry still left they would have just hired him to coach CB with Blake as the safety coach. Terry was responsible for the majority of the Two High safety looks you’ve seen at Texas since Sark has been here. PK is a Man/Cover 3 single high guy. Nansen as well. That’s why you saw more cover 3 this past year once Nansen joined the staff. They want to be able to man up more and felt like the old guy was the best teacher of man principles in the secondary. Sark also has talked with Saban who told him, and said on national tv, Texas has to play more man in the backend of the defense.
  11. Can anyone find the current salaries of the above mentioned coaches? Micken’s would be a great hire, just don’t know if he will make a lateral move. He was expecting DC interest this year and is close to Marcus Freeman.
  12. I sure hope we are tampering with the two Austin kids from Notre Dame
  13. I could see that being the case. AB is just starting to figure out how to not just rely on his gifts. But he is as athletic as they come. At the end of the day I just wonder if they pick one of the two and try to match them with a safety who can play in the box. We shall see.
  14. Really hope that the N. Crowley safety gets his offer soon and Texas becomes a player in the recruitment. Former player who came through our little league program. I’d love for another one of our guys to play at Texas. Coach BG is coming by N. Crowley Wednesday and they expect an offer to go out if everything matches up n person. Ended the season really well. Great range for safety and is about to blow up ranking wise. Need to get stronger to help in the run game cause he isn’t a strong tackler right now.
