  1. Lulz. Brad Crawford had an article on 247, about CFB's biggest brands. Here, in their entireties, are the write-ups for the Texas and Texas A&M sections. 3. Texas Longhorns Texas always leads college football in overall revenue and it's true — everything's bigger in the Lone Star State. The familiar Burnt Orange is exclusive to Hook 'Em and the Longhorn logo offers a recognizable nationwide brand. This is one of college football's bluebloods and they're back. Last season's conference championship and playoff appearance ahead of entry into the SEC put Texas back on the map as a national power. A recruiting powerhouse and transfer portal elite with endless resources, Texas isn't going anywhere as an annual threat. 15. Texas A&M Aggies " ... and Texas A&M, a school that just paid north of $70 million to fire their previous leader." 😂 😂 😂
  2. The Oklahoma 247 guy The Oklahoma On3 guy
  3. Lulz ... Andrew Hattersley (Aggie 247), on Jonah Williams, today.
  4. Deets from the Streets ... " ... this recruitment is headed for a conclusion and we haven't heard any talk of last-minute maneuvering." "After checking in with sources over the last 48 hours, everything points to Texas winning out for Williams when he makes his decision." " ... coach Blake Gideon did remarkable work with Williams in his family over the last several months ..." Behind the Crystal Ball for five-star Jonah Williams Mike Roach (247 Sports)
  5. Nick Brooks to Texas!!! https://www.on3.com/db/nick-brooks-150033/
  6. 247Sports' Preseason All-Transfer Team for 2024 ON THE TEAM, FROM TEXAS WR: SILAS BOLDEN, TEXAS The Texas receiving corps is going to feature many new faces this fall, but Silas Bolden is the newcomer who has made the biggest waves in fall camp. The diminutive 5-foot-8, 160-pounder from Oregon State did not arrive on campus in Austin until late May, but he has quickly won over his coaches and teammates. Bolden, who caught 54 passes for 746 yards and accounted for eight touchdowns last season, could be headed for a career year in Steve Sarkisian's prolific offense. EDGE: TREY MOORE, TEXAS Texas lost some key pieces on the interior defensive line, but they solidified things out on the edge with the addition of one of the nation's most productive pass rushers in Trey Moore. The UTSA transfer relocated from San Antonio to Austin after racking up 35 tackles for loss and 22 sacks over the last two seasons with the Roadrunners, earning AAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-AAC First Team honors in 2023.
  7. Sonny Shipp (LSU 247) today, on Williams and Ffrench. EXCERPTS: On Jonah Williams "However, as it stands this morning, Texas is the team to beat and it would take something significant to change that." On Jaime Ffrench "LSU is battling Texas and Miami for Ffrench, with Tennessee lurking. My pick would go to Texas for now ..." The deets: Friday Recruiting Nuggets: Latest on Saturday's announcements and more Sonny Shipp (LSU 247)
  8. Rise and shine, you lazy mofos! It's Nick Brooks commitment day!! Both of these guys write for Georgia 247 From an article on Dawgs 247 And some lulz ...
  9. 👀 👀 👀 Gaby Urrutia (Staff, Miami 247), today. Lately, some have considered Miami to be the main competition for Ffrench.
  10. Chills is right ... hoo, boy. and ...
  11. Streets, on Jonah Williams "If asked today, I'd lean slightly to the Longhorns, but with 72 hours to go, there's a lot that can change." Edit - just saw 2147's note ... But the real jaw dropper ... lulz. " ... safeties coach Blake Gideon worked the phones during July while everyone else in the football world went on vacation." The recruitment race for Jonah Williams: Inside the final days before 2025's best available recruit commits Get the inside scoop on Jonah Williams' highly-anticipated college commitment, which goes down Friday. Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Oregon and USC are the finalists for Williams. Mike Roach (247 Sports)
  12. On Jonah Williams, from LSU/Oregon/Aggie 247. LSU 247 Oregon 247 Aggie 247
  13. Yeah, he's a troll, but he nails this one - no cap!
  14. Thrilled to see this.
  15. Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247) gave an update on the 4 5-stars Texas is pursuing. Some key points below, followed by the whole enchilada. While wading through it, I was reminded of this funny I read a while ago. Employee shows up late. Boss: "Late again?" Employee: "Sorry! Ran into Alex Haley in the lobby, and asked him how his family was doing." ************************************************************************** Jonah Williams Decision Aug 24th. Source believes Texas. Schlossnagle an advantage. Scruggs thinks Phillips likely to flip to LSU, making Williams even more important. Once he decides, unlikely to change his mind. And this made me lulz - " ... the source I spoke with this morning doesn't believe A&M being such a tradition (midnight yell and things of that sort) rich school is helping them much if, at all, ..." Michael Terry III August decision possible, but looking more likely to get pushed into the season (with in-season visits, etc.). Scruggs still leans Texas. Full staff push, with Wingo's pop helping. As with Williams, once Terry decides, he's likely to stick with the decision. Scruggs emphasizes that NIL is a very small factor in this recruitment. Jaime FFrench Decision August 30th. Sources in Austin and Florida like the Horns at this point. Unlike Williams and Terry, this recruitment is not likely to be done on the 30th. Like Wingo's, will continue until signing day. Michael Fasusi Decision August 21. Source believes Fasusi and family prefer OU. Scruggs likely to change CB to OU, if current trend continues. Early playing time at OU a key factor. Also thinks Brooks to Texas very likely, and may put in CB for Brooks to Texas. Thinks Brooks commitment date (August 23rd) was chosen based on Fasusi's likely decision to OU. FULL ARTICLE The latest on the quad of five-star Texas football targets expected to announce decisions in August The latest Horns247 is hearing on the quad of five-star Texas football targets expected to announce decisions in August. Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247)
