  1. It’s crazy, as a Cowboys fan, seeing Sam try to make the game roster when Cooper Rush is our backup.
  2. Hudson was a big help in that loss.
  3. Subscribed. This guy has something. His bathroom is what I expect to see in a 2/1 in Lincoln.
  4. can you be genetically predisposed to injuries? Damn.
  5. Kinda amazing for Texas to get two segments right before the season starts. Would OU ever? Nope. A&m? Unlikely.
  6. I lived in a couple places in the 635 area because it was really close to work in the early 2000’s. A really nice place at the “ok” end of Buckingham near 635 and off of Forest and 635 for about a year. Never had a problem at either place but I’m sure it’s bad now. Crossing over 635 on Forest isn’t bad that I can remember at least until you get to the 5 Points area. Shocked the city hasn’t figured out a way to shut down the apartment complexes in that area. They did shut down a few at one point but could do so much more. I’d take Berkner over N Garland or Garland High. Naaman Forest seems nice and of course JJ Pearce is the pride of RISD.
  7. Richardson has sketchy areas near Berkner but it’s not Garland.
  8. I’m so GD tired of people defending the Talibs. I live in Plano and a couple of dads whose sons played with Yaqub(Q)’s son at Plano Senior both said they’re shocked, Q isn’t that type of guy. Ok, I kind of get that but someone you talk to at practices at games, are you really getting to know them? Anyone can be a complete asshole, just expect it instead of saying you can’t believe it. They didn’t know he had a drug conviction recently—I told them “guess you didn’t know him as well as you thought? Or maybe you’re a methhead too and I don’t know you well either?” Ive been a basketball ref for a few years. I like basketball, it’s definitely not for the money. As other officials have said in this thread, people are assholes at games. A few months ago, a couple courts from me, a player was ejected for punching an opponent. After the game, the player and MOTHER came out on the court and attacked the girl. It was a girls 8th grade game and not high level. I do rec games in the off-season and the parents are bad. They don’t know the rules and want you to call every bump against their team, it’s as bad as you can imagine. I’ve tossed parents out, players, coaches. I always tell the parents when I warn them that they’re embarrassing their player and the people around them. Just sit down and cheer on your kid. I ignore so much BS before someone is tossed. I do junior high games in Plano, Allen, and Frisco. The parents aren’t as bad because their behavior can actually hurt their player in the future. Some coaches don’t know all the rules because in junior high you usually coach everything. Rarely is there an issue with them. Fuck the Talibs.
  9. Cooper Rush is ass my man.
  10. how did the Malcolm Kelly segment not make this thread? It was even cringey for OU fans. tl;dr Corby brings bad segments to the air.
  11. This. Deuce is going to be an NFL player someday so it doesn’t hurt to do this right now. They can replay the segment in five years and bring him back. Have to like our chances with a guy that wants to play football and baseball. If Sanders has a breakout season it would definitely help.
  12. Good hearing Deuce Robinson light up when talking about Arch. Would be a huge get.
  13. sorry bro, you’re just not in the demo. Ticket reddit thinks they should have a tier one show.
  14. I’m probably one of the few that, living in DFW, listen to the Horn from 10-12 every day. Love me some Craig Way. It’s also cool how they cover HS football. That’s not something the Ticket could do but would be interesting to be able to keep up with teams around DFW.
  15. I listened to Sirois on My Dark Companion a couple of days ago. I think there were a couple of telling things about why Rhyner left and why Sirois left. Sirois said something to the effect of putting in as much or more effort as his friends making a couple hundred grand and that wore on him. When Rhyner said that Corby and Danny weren’t told about him leaving until the day before, I thought that was really eye opening. Rhyner has gotten softer but doesn’t tolerate fools. I feel like his give up over the last couple of years he was around was due to what surrounded him.
  16. I’d prefer Elf in the morning simply to hear him talk about all the Texas commits to piss everyone off. JFC you know you’re old when you prefer Elf over other shows.
  17. Imagine one of the busiest times of your business year and taking a week vacation. I put that on their bosses.
  18. I don’t get the TC hate, probably because I like IJB. If you’re calling him fat, you seen a picture of Justin M lately? Norm might outlive him. Regarding the Shake Joint versus the Singularity, I get that it was a Cat decision. If I was Sirois I’d be bitter. He filled in wherever needed. I felt that gave him a leg up over Danny. Neither of them really gave enough of a shit about their weekend show and IMO that sunk them. It’s shitty that it happened that way but the later years Orphanage and Cirque were hit and miss between both hosts being there or both hosts giving a shit other than getting it over with. That being said, I still think both of those shows were better than WiP—I just don’t get all the WiP love and I listen every Sunday.
  19. I like Country Force. Not loving Eli taking a backseat to Ted but oh well.
  20. we rented one last summer for a trip and my wife loved it. She’s had two tahoes so wants something that size but the prices of expeditions are ridiculous. She’s probably getting an X5 or GX460 in the next two weeks because the prices of Ford and Chevy pushed us that way.
  21. have you heard him on IJB? Got into the compensation discussion with TC and how people at the Fan(producers and support) made 2x more than guys at the Ticket. They both say they’re not bitter but I don’t blame them if they are. TC’s more bitter about the Shake Joint and I don’t blame him.
  22. Jim was all I knew when I moved from SA to Dallas in 2000. Romey was on in Dallas and I stumbled upon the Ticket because of a billboard. He’s still real to me dammit.
