  1. Jesus, did I write this? That's a decent amount of sunshine. I'll take it
  2. I miss the astroturf so much. It gave us a nice little homefield advantage with some of the crazy ass bounces and whatnot it would produce. And dirt around the bases. Our guys standing up clean after sliding into 2nd or whatever will never look right.
  3. Do you have a ridiculous house in the South Fork?
  4. I know @HenryJames is already camped out in LF. Any others?
  5. Anyone going to the Friday game? My lady friend, @Droopy , @ztejas and I may head down there.
  6. That whole ‘06-‘08 stretch was disappointing. It’s criminal Kyle Russell and Jordan Danks never got a shot at Rosenblatt
  7. I’ll never get over ‘04. I’ve never seen a team dominate it’s regional, super regional and their side of the CWS bracket like then lose in the championship series. Man, if LeCure didn’t take that liner off the heal, we might’ve taken game 2 with Justin Simmons lined up for game 3. Oh well, 2005 made up for it. Still chaps my ass though. Winning 3 out of 4 from ‘02-‘05 would’ve had a nice ring to it. Bout time we went on another run like that. Make it so, Pierce
  8. That's the goal. Thanks dude
  9. @shadow_operative2.0 is Sling TV the cheapest LHN option? You would know
  10. Well, now everyone is talking about the devil beating his wife. The faget Powell talk seems pretty tame now
  11. Didn't he also play 2nd and left in a game or two last year? Could've swore he did but I smoke way too much weed so I could be wrong
  12. Also, hate to go full @LTtxfan and blast a few posts in a row, but while we're on the discussion of Powell, that dude is my fucking hero. Was like the 3rd team catcher or whatever for 3 years, every at bat he got I always wondered why he wasn't getting more chances. I mean, it made sense. Our lineups were loaded in '21 and '22. But instead of being a fucking cunt like Gavin Kash, he bided his time and he's now a returning starter and one of our most important bats in the lineup. So basically
  13. Yeah.....Powell can actually hit. Daly turned it on a bit at the end of the year last year, and I thank him for that, but I'm very pleased he's no longer on the roster. Slightly below average shortstop that can't hit a beach ball isn't ideal
  14. Same. It's also odd feeling more confidence in our bats than our pitching in the preseason. When's the last time that happened? Like 2007 or some shit? Man, if we get even just 80% of 2021 Witt, we're going to make some serious noise.
  15. Ok. So you realize we’re all sports fans here, right? So we, you know, enjoy discussing sports. And it just so turns out Jim Harbaugh coaches in this communities favorite sport and he’s been quite the topic of discussion the last, oh, 10 or so years. Does that clear things up for you?

    2023 NCAA Baseball

Man, losing him has hit me harder than I thought it would. There are still some cool coaches in college baseball, but nothing will ever come close to Augie, Martin, Marquess and Wayne Graham. Those dudes made the 2000’s CWS that much more fun
  17. I'd kill for Stehly in our lineup this year. Hopefully Powell picks up where he left off last year. If yesterday is any indicator, that's exactly what he's going to do
  18. Highlights are up. @Balcones odd that it's not already up on texassports.com. They're usually pretty good about getting that up quickly
  19. I'd be so down to see Justin Simmons, Buck Cody and Huston pitching at our alumni games. Anyone know why Melendez wasn't out there today?
  20. Pro teams ruining the fun of college sports. As usual
  21. Watching soccer on tv
  22. He’s DDA. He has to be
  23. I’ve gotten used to it. As much as I love the Augie way of coming out of the gate 16-1 on our way to a 50something win season. I won’t happily, but I’ll take the Pierce marathon not a sprint approach. Just win the conference and host
  24. Yep. My yearly expectations are to win the conference and host. It’ll be like every David Pierce year. Start off 11-10 or whatever with some wtf ass beatings. Then end up 40-21 or so with an insane record at home.
