  1. We've done a couple of those tours - one in the Garden District and a Voodoo tour that started in Louis Armstrong Park. Both were interesting and I would definitely do another one.
  2. Yep. It's right there in the Packers and Stockyards Act, 1921. Non-competes are wedged in between "live poultry dealer" and "swine contractor."
  3. She appeared to sign it as well. Maybe a Thelma and Louise situation.
  4. Same. I've had 6 or 7 fishing kayaks over the years. Eventually sold them because I was too busy with youth sports. A couple years ago, I found an old Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 on craigslist for $250. What worked for me in the early 2000s works fine for me know. All I need to paddle the San Marcos, Devil's River, or Brown & Root flats. I might look to upgrade, but only if I could find a kayak that I could comfortable stand up and fly cast in - that isn't thousands of dollars.
  5. I've sampled Khoi a couple of times - pork ribs one time and pork belly the other. Great Asian inspired barbecue. Don Nguyen was a guest pitmaster at InterStellar a few weeks back. I trust that he has skills if John Bates invites him to come cook.
  6. Three episode in. Enjoyable show - will continue to watch. Finishing the episode now. Interesting story that I only knew about at a basic level.

    Oldies

When I was a little kid, my parents had Runaway on a 45. They had plenty of other records that I can't recall, but I loved this song. I played it over and over. Just listened for the first time in decades and its still great.

    Austin FC

That first 15 minutes was a beating to watch. In addition to giving up a penalty kick in the first couple minutes, Austin handed the ball to Nashville in our initial six or seven possessions. They calmed it down and played ball after that. Surprised to see Gally with the start on the wing, but he stepped up and played really well. Stu was money yet again and, outside of the BHI penalty, the defense was solid. Good to get a win on the first game back in weeks, against a team that we've never beat. Looking forward to see if the team can keep up this form in the last 3rd of the season against better competition. Verde!
  9. Tarleton up 26-7 at half. 17 points off of turnovers - two fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
  10. So long as we're on the same page that OP and buddies must get good Texas barbecue while here. Now I have to go to Micklethwait today. For me it's like Beetlejuice - I say a barbecue place three times and then I have to go.
  11. *Franklin. That's a good point and not a bad idea, but I would order now because Saturday and Sunday pre-orders will fill up fast for a game weekend. I would probably still do Micklethwait, though.
  12. Get some Texas barbecue for lunch. Micklethwait Craft Meats*, Terry Blacks Barbecue, LA BBQ will all have some wait, but nothing like Franklin Barbecue. *my choice
  13. You can tell they ain't trying that shit in Texas.
  14. Well, his buddy is now 42. Y'all might have missed the boat on the helpful advice.
  15. It can certainly be a big transition out of state or not. My youngest lettered in three sports all four years of high school and was friends with everyone. She decided not to run or play soccer in college and found it is difficult to really get to know people. Unlike when I was in school were everyone left their dorm room open, kids go to the room and close the door. She'd have acquaintances in classes, but once the class was over they'd all go their separate ways. My advice to her was to join a spirit organization - you'll meet people, go to games, dive into the campus culture, and the spirit people are always having fun. She did that her second semester and has been having a blast since.
  16. Looks like it vanished - maybe the site is just down temporarily. I was on there a couple weeks ago and it was fine. I was one of the first ten people registered on that site when it started.
  17. We enjoyed the show from the cheap seats as well. Santana knows how to put on a show. Lighting was cool and the camera over the percussion sections were great. His wife is a hell of a drummer.
  18. They do have a foam injected scuba lining, probably a bargain at twice the price.
  19. There is a greater than zero chance that is @Derka I've seen his mad skills on videos he has posted.
