  1. Just got my Luck Reunion tickets.
  2. Now I'll be compelled to do that next time I see a green anole on the side of the house.
  3. I didn't want that monkey to rip the kid's face off, but it could have at least ripped his hat off and taken a shit it in it or something.
  4. I remember going to BOTG when it was at the Arboretum back in the '90s.
  5. Great tribute to John Brotherton in Texas Monthly.
  6. He's talking about three separate pizzas.
  7. If the directions are cities north of Santa Barbara are Northern California and cities south of Santa Barbara are Southern California, how can you complain about the classification of Santa Barbara?
  8. That's nice. But I would buy one ninja outfit and wear it everyday.
  9. Agreed. I love smoked chicken. Smoked poultry is considerably better than roasted poultry in my opinion. Last week I stopped by Brotherton's and took home a pound of pork ribs and a pound of jerk chicken thighs. Chicken was outstanding.
  10. Spandex or not, your ass with thank you to have some padding in your bike shorts.
  11. Gen X. Breakfast Club for me. Relating to the movie while in high school seems like a prerequisite. I was in high school when The Breakfast Club came out and remember talking to people in algebra class about it. At the time, I knew several classmates that would fit each character to a tee. Although the same could be said for Sixteen Candles, I think Breakfast Club does a better job of defining the various cliques and the relationships between them.
  12. The Fabelmans. It was fine for what it was. I don't think I would have been the slightest bit interested if it wasn't a semiautobiographical story of Spielberg's upbringing.
  13. Too late. Two hours into a thread like this and it becomes mention any movie not already mentioned.
  14. The clear move is to go for the hand holding the walker. Touché motherfucker.
  15. Lamb shank, pork belly burnt ends, and jalapeño slaw from Interstellar Barbecue.
  16. I wonder how many posts we are from rolling over to the next page. You know, the page without pictures of vegan brisket.
  17. He's out of the restaurant running business.
  18. No doubt. I looked it up and the combined DoD budget for the last 6 years was $4.317 trillion. For comparison: 100 million seconds = 3.28 years and 4.317 trillion seconds = 136,797 years.
  19. $100M is a rounding error for the DoD and the federal government.
  20. I went to see him just today Oh, but I didn't see no tears All dressed up to go away First time I'd seen him smile in years He stopped loving her today They placed a wreath upon his door And soon they'll carry him away He stopped loving her today
  21. In addition to ChampKind, I believe John Brotherton's former business partner in Liberty Barbecue might have posted here as well.
  22. ChampKind. He was the head pitmaster at Dozier's in Fulshear after his Galveston restaurant closed. I heard that he just recently left Texas and moved to New Mexico.
  23. I have apparently trained my phone to recognize and complete the word "fuck". For that I am proud.
  24. Stopped by Brotherton's Black Iron Barbecue for lunch today. It was busier than I've seen in before - local press is covering the story, so there are probably more customers for that reason. Had a nice two meat plate and grabbed a pound of pork ribs and a pound of jerk chicken thighs to go.
