  1. Absolutely. Since I can't reheat and keep it medium rare, I thinly slice and fully cook with onions and peppers.
  2. I don't like reheated prime rib. I usually get Gambino French rolls and make some bad ass Philly cheesesteaks. You can put the meat in the freezer for 30 minutes and it's much easier to slice really thin.
  3. Sous vide at 131° for 8 hours. Ice bath for 10 minutes. Compound butter and finished in 500° oven for 10 minutes. @jimmyjazz horseradish sauce was a hit again this year.
  4. Christmas Eve - homemade tamales, rice, charro beans, jalapeno poppers, queso & guacamole. Christmas - prime rib with horseradish sauce, smoked turkey, sweet potatoes, red potatoes, green beans, yeast rolls, cranberry sauce.
  5. Dad, this tree won't fit in our backyard.
  6. Decided to try some sous vide. Successfully cooked salmon and tenderloins so far. Since I vacuum seal leftovers, it's great for reheating frozen meats. Going to do a Prime rib today.* Pulled an old cooler out of the attic and made a cooking container. Set up out of the way in the laundry room. I plan to tell the family that I cooked the meal in the washing machine. *prime rib pics in the prime rib thread later.
  7. @immamac is there anyway for you to shit can the ability to use tapatalk? Mods are doing a good job of deleting borked posts, but ffs it sucks.
  8. Stop using fucking tapatalk.
  9. I did mine on my Vision kamado a couple years ago, but I have a Joetissorie. There is a guy who has done kamado cooking videos for years and now is branded with Kamado Joe - John Setzler. When I was first learning to use the kamado, I watched his youtube videos and learned a bunch.
  10. I did two years with a rotisserie on my kamado and it turned out great. I'm intrigued, though, about getting a perfect medium rare end-to-end with sous vide. The flip side is getting a great crust after the sous vide.
  11. Incredible.
  12. I'm doing a prime rib this year. Thinking about sous vide. Anyone here done one that way?
  13. No way anyone only watched this once.
  14. My girls stared doing their own laundry in middle school. No issues.
  15. I didn't this week. Same thing happened when he walked into his exs house last week.
  16. If you like it, you should watch the Music by John Williams documentary on Disney+.
  17. Sound like a way to spend too much time, too much money, and end up with too much crap.
  18. Have you tried a waffle iron? I make waffles instead of pancakes. I leave out the green opinions, my opinions are much older and seasoned.
  19. Foreshadowing
  20. So close.
  21. You're in trouble.
  22. They should cast about the same. I would opt for the 4wt for general fishing of ponds, creeks, and rivers.
  23. OG Tex-Mex barbecue - yep
