  1. Going into or out of one of the break, they mentioned a possibility that the aggy m8ght not have enough players for the bowl because their all jumping in the portal. Eat'em up cats!
  2. I agree with AAA plus. I've had AAA for 25+ years. I have 5 vehicles and 4 drivers. We've used AAA at least 4 times this year to tow vehicles. Piece of mind for me.
  3. That's ok. We really want to see your BIL's version of your nutty family Christmas anyway. Please neg it when you see it so we can identify it.
  4. I sampled some of their barbecue at the TM BBQ Picnic in November, but can't remember anything about it. I would certainly give it a try if I found myself in Olton or Plainview again or, heaven forbid, spending multiple days in Lubbock. If I'm simply passing through Lubbock, I'm getting Evie Mae's every time.
  5. Shrimp etouffee for dinner tonight.
  6. Christmas Eve starts with a brisket and fried egg taco.
  7. My neighbor had a basketball goal where the pole slid into a sleeve that was in the concrete. He could easily remove the goal when his daughter was out of the house. It worked for her - she went on to play with a full ride in college and then played professionally in Russia*. YMMV. *Playing women's professional basketball in Russia is apparently worse than you can even imagine.
  8. You know what causes that? Yep, you guessed it - yoga.
  9. @Surly Bevo one person under 40 required to win the grand prize.
  10. They aren't going to like being called that.
  11. When the wife walks by, stop her an give her a hug. No words, just a hug. Same for daughter.
  12. We were fishing during the week. My buddy originally booked the trip during Spring Break - early start to the rubber hatch. Nope.
  13. I did a float trip on the Guad in April 2022 and caught plenty of trout all the way down to Ponderosa.
  14. I second or third the idea of a guided trout trip on the Guadalupe. It takes very little fly fishing ability. Watching the indicator and setting the hook is really all of the skill necessary. Although, discerning strikes is harder than it might seem.
  15. Brisket - you are not going to fix the relationship between your wife and daughter. The more you try the worse it will be. Counselling it a great idea and let the counselor take the heat and do the heavily lifting. Listen to wife and daugther, acknowledge feelings, and STFU. Moms and daughters have relationships that dads can't begin to understand.
  16. My oldest daughter (no pics) was CAPed and went to UTSA for her first year. All three of her roommates were in the same boat and all four moved to UT the next year. My youngest daughter (also no pics) was CAPed, but wanted to study biology to ultimately do physical therapy. Since the CAP only guarantees the school of liberal arts at UT, it made sense for her to go elsewhere. She's rocking it at Texas State, which has a great PT school. The CAP is great if your student is fine with a liberal arts major or if you student is dead set on a degree from UT.
  17. I think a proper vegan chili must include tears.
  18. I think he was suggesting watching Three Amigos.
  19. I just threw the course ground chuck in right out of the package. 20 minutes covered in foil. Break the meat up a little (not a euphemism). 10 minutes uncovered, break the meat a little. 10 more minutes, then into the pots. Breaking it up along the way kept it from being a solid block of cooked meat.
