Did you ask any questions? I didn't hear you. Just listened to the end and heard your question (you could also claim all of the Spanish questions because I just skipped through those). I'm glad you didn't ask anything stupid and make Rodo mad at you.

Concerts you are attending
Are you seeing Norah Jones at the ACL taping? I put my name in the hat, but I guess I didn't make the cut. I'll be at the soul asylum show.

2 days in Arizona
If you go to the Grand Canyon, stay in Tusayan which is right outside the park. You'll have more time to spend in the park and the ability to go back to the hotel if you want. We did a similar tournament a few years ago and did the Grand Canyon for a couple days before heading to Phoenix. We were there right at New Years and it snowed heavily at the park - so plan accordingly.

Texas BBQ
Had the Burnt Bean pork chops for dinner and they were great. Moist, tender, and well seasoned. Pulled them out of the fridge, vacuum sealed, and warmed in some 132 degree water.

Aim For The Big, White Rectangle. I'd have white rectangles everywhere - the end of parking spaces, around doorknobs, at the front of the coaching room where the coach stands, urinals, . . .

Texas BBQ
Dropped by Burnt Bean Co Barbecue in Seguin on the way home today. Arrived about 10:35 and the line wasn't too bad. They open at 8:00 on Sundays for brunch, so the line was already moving. The menu is so vast, it's difficult to decide. To cope, we got food for lunch and food for dinner (and probably another lunch and dinner. Half pound of moist brisket, two pork ribs, and a baked sweet potato . . . and . . . the Casanova - huevos rancheros with brisket and barbacoa. Another half pound of moist brisket, two poblano and jack cheese sausage links, and two smoked pork chops to go. Everything we've had so far was delightful. Really looking forward to the sausage and pork chops.

My Favorite Teacher from my Tiny High School Passed Away
@CHIEF if you didn't give a eulogy, you should have. Beautiful words about a guy that clearly means the world to you.

I'm An Alcoholic
I'm blessed that I never had any issues telling people I stopped drinking. For a while buddies would ask if I still wasn't drinking, but not in an accusatory manner. I've more fully shared what led me to quit with a few people, but mainly people just know I don't drink anyone. Some buddies and I were regulars at a brewery tap room / coffee joint. Cold brew on nitro looks exactly like the stouts I used to drink - including being served in brandy snifter. I told one guy, about an hour into our meeting, that I'd quit drinking. He looked at my coffee like wtf. I'll say it again, i credit this group and this thread with me accepting that I had a drinking problem and ultimately stopping. Thanks again!

Chili w/o beans
I'd probably eat the hell out of that. From the recipe - didn't watch the video - I'd omit cocoa powder, tomato paste, and substitute water for beef broth. No way I'd go with jarred garlic. I did a large batch last year for a neighborhood event and the recipe called for beef broth. Beef broth affects the flavor too much.

Texas BBQ
Hit Butter's BBQ in Sinton on the way to N. Padre today. Ordered the Mini Trinity with moist brisket, pork ribs, jalapeño cheese sausage, elotes, and tater tot casserole. Everything was excellent. Certainly deserving of a spot on the TM Top 50. Highlighting places like this is why I respect Daniel Vaughn and what his team does.

Brilliant physical model that shows the two spin states of an electron
That's quite helpful. I was trying to explain that to someone just the other day.
