  1. Stop, drop, and roll. Run around like a bitch and do a flaming somersault is not going to work.
  2. I had the same realization with AT&T U-Verse about 18 months ago. Last year I subscribed to Sling TV during the month of September and was able to get both Texas games that were only on Longhorn Network - with the 1/2 off promo I think it only cost $8.
  3. The point of episode 2 has yet to materialize - brother, cousin, shitass.
  4. Usually 5-6 years before dry rot sets in depending upon where you are - humidity slows dry rot a bit. Check the tires for cracking along the sidewall and on the treads. I was running a set of 12 year old tires on my truck that had less than 10,000 miles on them. No signs of dry rot and never had an issue, but it terrified me every time I was driving above 30 mph. Replaced the tires and determined that the spare was 28 years old. Kid working at Discount Tire said that was the oldest tire he'd ever seen.
  5. I turned it off last night at 60 minutes and it was 2-1 Dallas. Started at 60 minutes this morning while on the bike trainer and back-to-back-to-back goals in a five minute span.
  6. Sorry to hear about you dad - I know y'all have enjoyed eating barbecue together. Cutting back is just going to make getting barbecue all the more special. Also, I've seen pictures of your trays - you might grab a vegetable every once and a while, too.
  7. I expect both KG BBQ and Reese Bros. Barbecue to be on the list. Mum Smokehouse and Deli might make it. Really looking forward to learning about some new joints.
  8. Needed my barbecue fix and it was already 11:30 on a Saturday - lines would be too long at any of the widely accepted greatest barbecue joints in and around Austin. Luckily, there are so many great barbecue places around here. I haven't been in a while, so decided to hit Brotherton's Black Iron Barbecue in Pflugerville. Showed up at 11:45 and walked right up to the counter. I had a $50 gift card from some charity event, so I decided to get a family pack with half pound moist brisket, half pound pork ribs and a couple sides. Got it to-go, since it was much more than I could eat in a sitting. I ate one of the pork ribs and a slice of brisket while I was there, though. Rib was cooked perfectly with a good bite and not quite fall off the bone. Although it was a little over sauced for my liking, the flavor was good. Brisket was seasoned well with nice bark and nicely rendered fat - as one would expect from a TM Top 50 joint. People are not coming from out-of-town to eat at Brotherton's because there are some many other, higher profile places to chose from. However, it is really nice to have great barbecue without the wait. Brotherton's also has a great sandwich selection - brisket grilled cheese, pastrami Reuben, and brisket bahn mi, being the three that I have tried.
  9. Same. The switch from barbecue trailer to selling Kerlaches exclusively was a great idea. I loved their barbecue, but the margins for the kolaches have to be much better than meat by the pound.
  10. You can't go to no bar to find a nice women. You've got to go to nice places, like the library and church. Or this place here, where I'm going tonight. The Black Awareness Rally. There's going to be some fine women there. Good clean girls. That's were I'm going.

Sorry to see him go. I sure hope this was one move in many that will lead to a better, stronger Austin FC.
  12. The USWNT has done an terrible job of phasing in younger players. On the 23 player roster, 10 players are at least 30 years old with 4 being over 34 or older. You can't tell me there are several US players better than Morgan and Rapinoe. We need to get through this WC and seriously get the younger talent identified and developed for the next one.
  13. Watched the movie on Sunday with my wife and daughters (no pics). I wore a pink shirt. Thought the movie was done well and pretty funny at times. Michael Cera always cracks me up.

You'd better take your turn at waving the flag.

We just got to hopsquad. I would have got you one here.

We usually stop at hopsquad or circle on the way over. Wife gets a beer or two and I get a free water. The pizza trailer is pretty good.

The supporters groups will be arriving around then. It's fun to watch or join in. Then pointsbet for a little a/c before the action starts. I recommend the brisket taco from Valentina's when you're ready for a bite.
  19. The best response for most posts on Nextdoor - "wow, that does sound suspicious.'
  20. Correct. I've been married for 27 years and the china we received as wedding gifts has never been removed from the original boxes.
  21. Some variation of that is my breakfast almost every Sunday morning. I always get an extra slice of moist brisket on Saturdays for that purpose.
