  1. The owners said the policy has been changed. If the DoL sees fit to issue a fine or otherwise punish the owners so be it. If the adversely affected employees have grounds to sue or get restitution, great. I'm not going to punish the current employees by boycotting the business they rely upon for their livelihoods. I will continue to eat at Valentina's.
  2. Hit KG BBQ off of Manor Road in Austin today. Egypt meets Central Texas barbecue. Second time and the quality remains outstanding - one of the best places in Austin. Pork ribs are quite possibly the best I've had - twice now. Cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. Moist brisket also very good. Mediterranean sausage good, but different. Finer grind than most texas sausage, almost like bratwurst. Lamb chop was good, although a little done for my taste. Any of you that go to the same place every time you're in Austin needs to give it a try.
  3. Bold move going head-to-head with the Blue Whale of Catoosa.
  4. Mine kicks on sometime around early March and runs until late October. Set at 68 always.
  5. I understand what they're doing, but it still doesn't appear to be very effective.
  6. That is probably not going to be very effective. It not like they hang out together at the snek bar. They don't purposefully meet up until mating season.
  7. As not to lose the chuch's tax exempt status.
  8. Should make the next couple days interesting. Pogar will have to take some risks in the mountains if he has any chance.
  9. JV kicking all kinds of ass today.
  10. A stage like today's make one wonder . . . why Uno X's wind tunnel prefers penises.
  11. Went to Fargo's twice in 2017 and was disappointed both times. Haven't had the chance to try 1775, but I would suggest you try that one. Check and make sure it is open on Wednesday, though.
  12. I'd probably do Blanton or Bullock (depending on if she's more into art or history) and then head over to Scholz Garden. Might be able to grab a rickshaw bike from Scholz to the Moody Center.
  13. Walk in, show your card, and make a hard right. Aisle along the side with the mattresses is for passing the dipshits.
  14. My MIL and FIL share a phone. It's my FIL's phone, but they pass it back and forth. Never know who is sending or receiving text messages. Never know who is going to be on the other end of the line for a telephone call. She has her own phone and phone number. Phone hasn't been out of the box as far as I know. I get anxious looking at his phone. They don't know how to turn off notifications, so there are usually 300+ notifications sitting on the top bar. Every once and a while, it will be handed to me or one of my kids to fix. I delete about half of the apps, turn off most of the notifications, etc. - 3 months later and its right back to where it was.
  15. Tied some Llanolopes this afternoon. It's been a minute since I've done any hair spinning. Ugly flies catch fish, though.
  16. Certainly makes the TT interesting. Quite impressed with JV.
  17. I think the people with the flares piss me off almost as much as anyone. Can you imagine struggling for air going up a 10% climb and sucking in a lung full of that crap.

Dani is back. Starting Zardes. Starting Keller. No Rigoni. We'll see. Listos!
  19. It's definitely worth it. The chips and queso/guac are given when ordering, so the first bite is right after ordering. We waited in line for 20 minutes or so. Barbecue and taco came out in about 15 minutes. Probably 75% of people got the chips and queso/guac, which is a great business plan. Adding appetizers to barbecue, which usually doesn't have appetizers. The wait after ordering is no big deal with the chips. Next time, we'll go in the morning so that I can get the Real Deal Holyfield breakfast taco.
  20. Drove down to Buda for lunch today. Great new location. The line moves fairly quick, but then waited another 15 minutes for food to be brought to table. Started with chips and queso - chips and guacamole was another option. Barbacoa taco, moist brisket, spicy Oaxaca sausage, tangy slaw, smoked corn. Got tortillas instead of bread.
  21. I'm afraid chili that can be made in an hour is actually soup.
  22. There was another one about a girl that ended with 35007.
