  1. Mid is about the easiest "slang" to understand in the world. It's almost so literal it can't qualify as slang. And bet is just short for "you bet", meaning yes or sure thing.
  2. Haha, I liked the "hookem" right into the parabolic mic
  3. Well this thread has become insufferable.
  4. Ugh that was like 15 commercials after leaving the TCU game, after way too long of interviews as well
  5. Wonder what total combined distance Hunter was run today
  6. What a gift of an INT. Telegraphed that the whole way.
  7. That juke was sick as hell
  8. Yawn, another review. Just keep the game rolling.
  9. Or maybe not. Maybe TCU are the frauds
  10. I suspect TCU will start to lean on them and end up winning by a couple of scores.
  11. Haha, nice kick idiot

    Starfield

Not sure, but there is a PC XBox App, that's how I do Gamepass PC titles. And most everything I've tried on Gamepass swaps between the console and PC no problem. I've even been playing something on the PC while my daughter played something else on XBox and one of her achievements popped up on my screen on the PC.

oh I'm sure there will be the typical Bethesda bugs, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

I've predownloaded whichever version is on Gamepass. I've stayed away from almost all information so I'm going in totally blind. All I know is it's Space Skyrim.
  15. Only thing missing on that chart is pool table. Everyone I've ever known to get one plays pool everyday for a month or two, then it transitions into a laundry folding station, and then just into a dumping ground for anything.
  16. They should play the game at 2am to an empty stadium and broadcast the recording the next day.
  17. To add to the anecdotal evidence. I'm in year 17 of teaching middle school. It is almost impossible to explain all the various ways things have changed since the start of my career. When I began, nobody had smart phones, there was no social media, etc. There were mean kids back then of course, but nowhere near like today. I'd echo the sentiment shared earlier by the healthcare worker and the story about the bar owner earlier in the thread. The <5% mean has skyrocketed. Parents are openly hostile towards the teachers and staff. Parents and some students are more openly racist than ever. Kids don't want to learn something in school if they can't directly see how it will make them money. When my career started, teachers would get stupid amounts of chocolate and crap at Christmas or whatever, now out of 150 students I might see 5 or 6 cards. It isn't just one source of this stuff either. It's a combination of radicalization through social media, kids with unrestricted and unmonitored internet access, kids seeing their parents get radicalized politically. Another big part is that many families feel they should be better off than they actually are. It's a good school district in what was historically a fairly wealthy suburb, but demographics and a shrinking middle class have a lot of people questioning if all the sacrifices they made to be here were worth it. I don't know answers to any of it. I know schools are attempting to teach kids how to be nice to each other, but it is such an uphill battle. They all talk in real life like they're on reddit, and they would much rather own someone and shit post than actually make a friend.
  18. I'm not in Austin. We are on twice a week watering, which I do at 3am. Where I am if you don't water a little your foundation falls apart.
  19. My grass is doing ok, and my weeds are thriving.
  20. I've had to adjust my long held rule of not starting my yard on Saturdays until after 8 for the sake of annoying the neighbors. In over 15 years of owning a home I never mowed before 8. Today I had to get out there a bit before 7:30.
  21. I'm slightly worried about kids, particularly middle school kids, who are about to return to school and play football. Many of them are not particularly athletic. They've spent all summer inside playing video games, and they're about to put helmets and pads on and run around in this heat, many times with some old coach that still thinks thirst is a sign of weakness. Could be pretty dangerous.
  22. I don't have a screenshot or anything but I just won a Rome religious victory and I was able to make a capital that had Chichen Itza hit 11 rainforest tiles and another city with a Petra that hit I think it was 10 mines. I normally never build Chichen Itza because I usually chop all rainforest but I happen to try the rainforest pantheon because it was going to give me a great early game holy site, so I left all the rainforest I would normally chop. Probably nobody cares but I do love it when you can pull off a ridiculous yield wonder.
  23. Rahm may be the leader at the end of the day.
  24. Lotta scoring out there today
