  1. The internet will make anything a conspiracy And of course, video of a training exercise just so happens to show the same pants with the same cuffs folded up, because that is such a common and in-style thing to do.
  2. I teach 7th grade. Years ago, any time there was a shooting, regardless of where in the country it is, the students would hear about it and kind of go through the rest of the day somewhat reserved, or maybe a quiet nervousness, thinking about what it would look like on our campus. But these days it no longer even registers. Its just "another one, that sucks" and on with the routine. Sooner than later it will just be another meme.
  3. Back during Covid lockdown most of the younger drivers had big sim rigs built and they streamed virtual races on Twitch, many times while talking in discord with the other drivers. That's one of the reasons some of the drummed up drama in Drive to Survive was kind of stupid, lots of those guys are friends and gamed together throughout lockdown
  4. Also, serving during the race can change track position and could mean position changes that otherwise may not have happened. Some tracks are so hard to overtake the penalty could be the difference. If simply added to the end the offending car could build up a gap to nullify the penalty.
  5. Would be nice but that's a losing battle politically. Just recently a state park had to close because the park only leased the land and their lease ran out. Gonna be developed into luxury homes behind a gated community. Fairfield Lake SP.
  6. Or Haas

Eh, I have lost confidence in all Blizzard products.
  8. We are unlikely going to leave the state park. Several hikes planned, cooking some good food, etc.
  9. True, but they all know it's there. But time again the go into the corner thinking "well maybe THIS time there's room" Only there never is.
  10. Man I so want to really like this series. I like the cars, I like a lot of the personalities, I like the mix of street, road, and ovals. And of course the Indy500 is one of the best events in the world. But it's sometimes brutal getting through a race because of all the bone headed crashes. A good percentage of the drivers are world class drivers, but an equally big percentage should not be in a race car. A third of the field crashed out here. There is almost always a lap 1 incident in Indycars. The quality of bottom third of the drivers needs to seriously improve and the number of stupid crashes needs to go way down or Indy will never be a series that really makes it to level it should be.
  11. For spring break we are trying out Palo Duro Canyon for the first time.
  12. These 70 to 80 mph wind gusts are nuts
  13. My basketball goal blew over. It's crazy windy.
  14. I just wish I didn't have to wait for the broadcast to be completely over before I can start watching on the ESPN app. More coverage makes it harder to be spoiler free for those of us that don't watch live
  15. Most of the really good F1 drivers and team principals are assholes. It's a tough sport to be a nice guy in.

Evil Dead 2 was kind of a remake more than a sequel, but yes.
  17. For me it was separating strafing, forward and backward to use both hands. I've always used A/S to strafe left and right. Left CTRL with my pinky is backwards. Right mouse button was forward. It worked great with Doom and I got very good. As more features were added to FPS games like melee kills, aim down sights, grenade keys, crouching, etc have been implemented it has been a little problematic but I have to work around those four movement keys. With WASD I hate the same finger being forward and backward.
  18. I have a strange key bind for any FPS game that dates back to playing Doom. My brain can't change at this point. I can't do FPS games with WASD
  19. I don't think the story is too bad. Of course I am still in the middle of it so that may change. I also think the friendship story lines are pretty good. I like that each one has its own flavor to it, the Slytherin going dark, the Gryffindor after justice chasing a criminal, the Hufflepuff saving creatures and fighting poachers. Pretty well done I thought. I guess there isn't much of one for a Ravenclaw, except maybe astronomy guy. The environments are great, the sound and music is good. The combat is engaging and feels great, although the plant weapons seem underwhelming and I never remember to take potions. I'm playing normal difficulty so maybe you need them more on hard. Sneaking up to enemies and backstab killing them is satisfying, I just wish there was more of an element of sneaking around Hogwarts and avoiding teachers or prefects. But I guess detention is kind of silly when I'm all over the countryside on a murder spree. The room of requirement and all the collectables are pretty good. The Merlin trials have some variety, they might get old once I really focus on finishing them all. I haven't bothered much with the broom racing, I have 1 broom upgrade done. The only real disappointment is the lack of a morality system, which I know is very hard to implement. If going dark caused dramatically different main quest branches it would be cool. I'm around 35 hours in, I'm in Winter and waiting to start the fourth trial. Working on finding the phoenix at the moment. I think my collections percentage is around 50, and I'm still really digging the game.
  20. It would be cool if AM could actually threaten the big teams occasionally and if Alonso could snag a few more podiums. But even if they somehow start the year up there, it's a whole other story to maintain development pace with those other three and keep up with them over the course of a season. Kimi won the opening race of the year in a Lotus in 2013. Sustaining that is tough.
  21. Are you the singing bush?!?

I thought the first episode was pretty funny. Not sure how long they can keep up different and interesting animal encounters.
  23. I agree on the day/night stuff. Maybe they could have kept it where you can skip to day or night still, but have certain areas or chests that are only accessible while sneaking at night or something. Early on there was the one mission where you sneak into the library past prefects and ghosts, but I've played 10 hours past that point and have never seen another prefect. I also find it kind of funny that I can murder dozens of poachers and say something like "that'll teach them to kill these animals" or something, and then I immediately turn around and have to kill 10 of the same animals for the next unlock. The unforgivable curses seem a little pointless after I've murdered 50 goblins.
  24. Probably typed up by a student as a meme.
  25. I have discovered that I am completely terrible at the mini game where you slap a key into a lock. Takes me so many attempts.
