Well I got it up to 85 Mbps. It throttles download if you have a game running in the background. But it was showing no game running, wasn't giving me the force quit option.
But I think it still believed there was one. So I started the last game I had played again, then force quit it from the menu, and that upped my speed a bit.
Still not my full bandwidth from my service provider but three times faster than it was.
If you've preordered you can also preinstall. The Series X version with the HD texture pack is 76 gigs. And mine is only downloading at 25 Mbps so it takes a while.
My internet provider is way faster than that but for some reason that's usually as fast as I can get from the Microsoft store.
I daily drive a Honda Fit to work because I have to commute across town. We do own a truck that in I use to tow an RV and for crap from Lowes.
My wife daily drives the truck because her commute is 1 mile across the neighborhood.
I don't mind truck owners of they occasionally use them for truck things.
Most truck owners overbuy though. Many 250 owners could make do with a 150. Many 150 owners could make do with a Ranger or Maverick.
But ego gets in the way.
They could do Q1 kind of like Indycar does.
Cut Q1 down to 10 minutes but do it in two groups of 10. Maybe even force 1 car from each team in each of two Q1s. Maybe randomize which car in the team goes first each race.
Q1-A for 10 minutes, Q1-B for ten minutes. Send the second group out 30 seconds after the last car of group one is back in their garage.
The same number of cars advance to Q2, and it doesn't matter which Q1 group they come out of.
This thing doesnt sound like it's targeting national events. It's a much smaller scale thing.
I'm sure they're targeting recurring visits from families within a fairly small radius.
Nobody is going to travel long distance and get a hotel for this park. If you're going to get a flight and hotel you will go to Orlando or LA and go to the "real" parks.
Supposedly the Andretti-Cadillac possible car would only use Renault engines for 2025, and Cadillac would provide their own engine starting in 2026.
If they actually get into the sport.
