COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
They can slow hospitalizations and deaths for sure. That's the point.

COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
Quite a few of the smaller school districts in the North Texas area are closing for a few days, primarily due to staff shortages and not enough subs. Larger districts like mine have so far been able to stay open, but the substitute system is getting stretched real thin, and we are dealing with lots of bus delays. Substitute bus drivers aren't exactly readily available in the best of times. Kid cases are way up, but most kids seem to shake it off after a few days. Staff shortages and subs are going to be the primary reason for any school closures.

WTF. Policeman kills his fellow policeman brother and another victim during a traffic stop.
I'm guessing hit the gas instead of the brakes.

COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
It's slamming my school pretty hard. I've had 10-15% of my kids absent every day since we got back from Winter break. I'll get some of them back and then new ones are out.

AISD's (and other districts) Plans for Schools Starting August 18
I appreciate Buccees when I'm road tripping while pulling my camper RV. Easy to get a trailer in and out of the pumps, a million reliably clean toilets, and a hot sandwich ready to go. I don't understand buying Buccees branded tshirts or any of the other merchandise, but a fast road trip pit stop is appreciated

cthulu/facehugger windshield ice
Or, alternatively the ice formed under a constant wind.

cthulu/facehugger windshield ice
From the pattern it seems to me that their windshield wiper fluid has some kind of chemical treatment, like a RainX sort of thing, and when they use that at speed it makes those branching paths up the windshield due to the wind. That would then leave chemical residue from the RainX more heavily in those portions of the windshield. Water then reacts differently with those areas, so the ice builds up differently, giving the result in the photo. That's my guess.

The Granddaddy of them all- 108th Rose Bowl Utah vs Ohio State
I'd like to see a blocked FG returned for the game winning score. But more likely it will be a run breaks free for a OSU TD

Desert life can't be that hard if you can just dig anywhere and pull up weird seed pods full of clean water whenever you get thirsty.

Got my moderna booster today after getting a J&J original last spring. So far just a little soreness in the arm.

NFL Week 15
That should have been a TD pass, bounced right off the receivers chin.

Duncanville / GP North Shore - 6A D1 state title
That was a big couple of plays

Duncanville / GP North Shore - 6A D1 state title
That was the weakest pass interference I think I've ever seen.

Duncanville / GP North Shore - 6A D1 state title
I thought the division you are placed in is dependent on enrollment size of the schools in your district that make the playoffs. That's why schools can bounce between div 1 and 2 from year to year. Not sure if it still works like that.

Formula 1 2021
It would not surprise me if he did retire. He doesn't have anything else to prove to anyone. He is still risking his life every time he races, and although serious injury or death is much more rare than it used to be it is still a possibility. The french F2 driver a couple years ago and Grosjean's close call were both fairly recent examples. With new regulations he can't be sure he is in the best car anymore and if you can't be in the best car in F1 you generally can't win much. I'm not sure Lewis could be content fighting over positions 7-10 like Alonso has been doing. That said, I expect he will be back, Merc will still be great, and he will win one more while Merc still prioritizes him over George, then pass the baton to George after that.

Tik Tok has been a nightmare for schools this year. The vandalism of schools has calmed down but now it's fake threats.
