  1. I would think that would have a very small chance of success. First, video game movies have an extremely low success rate. They're nearly all horrible. Secondly, the story has never been a particularly strong part of the Zelda games. They're fantastic worlds and the puzzle solving loop of go to dungeon, find item in dungeon, item is used to kill dungeon boss, item then allows access to more areas of the world is the main draw of the games. The lore of Zelda games is pretty bad. Now, get a solid cast of comedians together, give them a good budget for costumes and CGI, and let's get a Curse of Monkey Island movie going. I want a Pirates of the Caribbean meets Ghostbusters type vibe. Get the guy who directed the Guardians of the Galaxy movies to do it.
  2. Yeah there are no concussions in the MCU. Stark and Rhodes both have had iron suit crashes that would have killed any human, and they've done that multiple times.
  3. The Ranger is great. And it's not that smaller than an early 90s F150. Trucks have grown so freaking much. The new Tremor package for the Ranger looks pretty nice.
  4. SquareEnix has a big sale. I got Avengers at half price, and it looks and runs amazing on the Series X.
  5. I thought Episode 1 was great. I don't know anything about the comic books other than I've heard Falcon eventually becomes Cap, so I'm interested in how he does that and actually gets some kind of super power. If it's just Sam with the shield that isn't exactly Captain America.
  6. It'll still be a while before younger generations can afford airstream.
  7. Clearly the IRS doesn't know you exist. I recommend you completely stop paying all taxes.
  8. Because they also don't want to deal with nerds camping out for days and then rushing/fighting in the store.
  9. My wife and myself. Not opposed to renting a car and hitting multiple towns, either. But also not opposed to staying in one spot a while if there is enough to see.
  10. You know what isn't toxic at all and full of reasonable not-racist people? UK and EU football stadiums.
  11. I have some American Airline vouchers I need to use this year due to a canceled trip from the beginning of Covid. Anyone ever vacationed in Maine in summer? Recommendations? I know nothing about Maine, but the scenery looks nice, and we are looking for something we haven't done, and I've never been to that area of the country. I'm hoping by July travel restrictions and sights to see are open and mostly normal.
  12. The morning following my J&J shot I had a bad headache and a mild fever. Lasted a few hours. Doing pretty good now though.
  13. Just got my J&J shot. Sitting here for 15 mins before they let me go. Easy process through CVS, one guy was just leaving his 15 minute wait as I got checked in, nobody here now but me. I guess they're spaced 15 or 20 minutes apart.
  14. My wife and I both got appts this morning in Plano. Hers for today and mine for Sunday. It specifically stated we did not need to schedule follow ups so I guess we are getting the one dose shot. We are both teachers and they had a box to check for that, so that might have helped get us in, or it might not have mattered I don't know. She had to sit at a busy screen for about 20 minutes first.
  15. My wife and I both secured appointments to get them at a CVS in the next couple of days. It specifically said we do not need a follow up appointment so I guess that means we are getting the J&J one.
  16. I don't believe they're in stores at all and may not be for a while. They drop online in bunches and sell out quickly. They may be in store pickup, but not on store shelves. I got mine from Best Buy, purchased online but picked up at the store. I used an app that monitored stock and pushed a notification when some were released. It's a big pain in the butt.
  17. I got the Series X. I've had PS in the past, though. They're both good.
  18. Here is a link to the info, in there you can read the whole rulebook and see if it sounds like something they could handle. https://shop.stardewvalley.net/ There's a lot to it but it is also co-op so they could be helped during a playthrough.
  19. If anyone is a fan of the hit indie video game Stardew Valley, a few days ago the creator of that game dropped Stardew Valley: The Board Game as a total surprise. He worked with some folks over the last two years to develop it, and it is a co-op game for 1-4 players that tries to model the vibe of the video game. The first printing promptly sold out the first day, but I snagged one. It looks to be a pretty involved co-op game, tons of components, cards, tiles, dice, etc. Estimated play time of 40 mins per player. I don't have it yet, waiting for it to ship, but I will try to come back here after I've gotten my hands on it to answer any questions. The creator has already said on Twitter that there will be a second printing since the first sold so quickly.
  20. I don't know how they lasted as long as they did. They're stuff was total crap. Anytime I went in the Plano one there was like 15 customers and 47 employees in their ill-fitting dress shirts standing around looking miserable trying to avoid eye contact with any customers. Then you'd spend 20 minutes looking for some random thing you needed only to find the empty shelf space where it should be. Then you leave and drive down 75 to the Microcenter wondering why you bothered trying Fry's in the first place.
  21. Why would play games in an office chair at a desk instead of a lazy boy Makes no sense.
  22. Given how poorly Warcraft 3 Reforged went I will hold excitement until it is out and people have played it.
  23. You colorado transplants did elect GunTits. So it ain't perfect.
  24. This is my question. I don't know enough about other states to know where the sane ones are that I can still afford. But realistically I don't think I can leave. My wife and I are both teachers and have too many years invested into TRS. We aren't eligible for social security. I know theoretically I could teach anywhere but it isn't super straight forward to just get certified in another state and go find a job. We are in a good spot at one of the actual good school districts in Texas. And again, the retirement situation... It is a bit of a gamble to try a move and my kids have their grandparents here, etc. But it gets more and more depressing each year to watch Texas ruin itself.
  25. Yeah my kids are having fun but it's a rotation in and out, stand by the fireplace for a bit, go outside for 5 minutes, repeat.
