Is there a correlation between people who have severe breakthrough cases resulting in hospitalization or death and not having any of the severe symptoms associated with the 2nd Pfizer or Moderna shot? It seems that a lot of the anecdotal evidence I’ve heard of breakthrough cases seems to be spread pretty evenly among the different shots, but I wonder if not having the reaction to to 2nd shots means one is more susceptible to severe breakthrough infections.
What they fail to realize (or don’t want to realize) is that they are irrelevant as an athletic department. During our worst decade in football in program history, we won the same amount of NY6 bowl games as aggy and played for a conference championship in football. The players they are recruiting weren’t even born the last time they played for a conference championship. Their best football season in the SEC was with Big 12 players. They had a 10 year start to build their “SEC” brand and grow out of our shadow and they failed to do that. Now we’re back and they are fucked. They will always be in our shadow. They think they can come close to our level but the truth is they are much, much closer to Texas Tech than they are us.
Evidently this is a move by the SEC powers that be meant to cripple the great Jimbo and prevent aggy football from becoming the fully operational Death Star they were clearly on track to becoming. Pooooooooor aggy
Aggy wants to act like they’re so different from when they left the Big 12 because they’ve played in the league for almost a decade and have recruited “SEC” players but the truth is one of their best football seasons in their history was their first year in the SEC with a defacto Big 12 roster.
Lol Independent???????? There’s only a small handful of schools in the country that could pull that off and aggy isn’t one of them. Them leaving after we join would be utter recruiting suicide. This already neutralizes their recruiting and gives us a huge bump.
Funny that TexAgs claims this is deceitful and backstabbing by the powers that be, but the truth is they just don’t matter in the discussion. This is about adding 2 of the biggest brands in college athletics and thus preventing us from otherwise joining the Big 10, ACC, or PAC. This is a business decision and their deluded, spiteful opinions aren’t going to even remotely sway the decision. They’re still the new kids on the block but act like Bama or any of the other original SEC members give a shit what they think. They were only used for 1 thing by the SEC and that was to gain access to the State of Texas. We are and always have been the crowned jewel of conference realignment and they can’t handle the truth that historical they are an irrelevant athletic department and even since joining the mighty SEC, they still have not played for national championships in the big 3 sports like fucking Baylor and Texas Tech. If they want to be out of our shadow, they can just go fuck off and join the Big 10 or ACC or wherever because we’re coming whether they like it or not.
PAC is just gonna play the “they reached out to us first” game because they don’t wanna be seen as the one to deliver the final kill shot to a major conference by actively recruiting remaining members
Interestingly it says 25% of these breakthrough cases are asymptomatic and also attributes some of the cases to people with immune systems that respond slowly to the vaccines (I guess that would mean they received the vaccine fairly recently?) It would be interesting to see a breakdown of which vaccines the “breakthrough” cases had received and how many of them are actually resulting in hospitalizations too.
It would look great if the state was white like the Erwin Center. If it’s kept as a “shadow” silhouette it’d look better with just the Longhorn logo. Just my 2 cents
