  1. If we win does that mean Utah didn’t want to be there?
  2. I'd have to think Harrell would be closer to the Lincoln Riley version of the Air Raid as far as run-pass balance as opposed to the Leach version that passes almost 70-75% of the time. I could get down with that type of offense with our personnel. Interestingly enough, LR was on Leach's staff as a WR coach when Harrell was playing there.
  3. Agreed. He had some really good info on Chris Ash that made me feel a little better about a potential Chris Ash hire for DC.
  4. I think he’s be an instant upgrade over Beck as a play caller and schemer, but what is Harrell like as a recruiter? Seems like his family’s connections in Texas HS football would be beneficial to in-state recruiting. Is he USC’s primary recruiter for Bijan?
  5. Maybe all the Ash talk is a misdirection?
  6. Not quite to the same extent as this but Kelly overhauled his staff at Notre Dame after 2016 and made the playoff last year.
  7. Wasn't he the ST Coach when we had 3 PATs blocked against Oklahoma State and 1 against Notre Dame?
  8. How many of the offensive position coaches at USC are guys Harrell brought in? I think he'd be a solid hire, but it will be interesting to see how he fills out the offensive position coaches.
  9. If Washington doesn't stay on with the new DC, make Beck the Recruiting Coordinator as well as an Offensive position coach. Unless he really wants to be a playcaller that wouldn't be a bad deal and would maximize his strengths.
  10. Gotta think Beck is staying on until after the bowl game and NSD1 then will either be reassigned or fired. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
  11. I mean, it’s not like we had a former K-State Wide Receivers Coach serving as an offensive analyst that we could’ve just elevated to take Mehringer’s spot midseason. That would’ve made too much sense.
  12. I’m gonna guess that was Mehringer?
  13. The offense actually doesn't look inept, so that's positive.
  14. As much as I dislike Garrett, firing him now and promoting Richard to Interim HC could lead to him getting the permanent HC job and continuation of the status quo. Cut bait at the end of the season go for a complete coaching reboot.
  15. Maybe they should be working smarter, not harder.
  16. What has Hand done to warrant another year? His group has regressed big-time throughout the season. He shouldn't be safer than other assistants just because his contract runs through the 2020 season.
  17. He said that after the surgery? He must've still been under the influence of anesthetics.
  18. At least that means Herman won't just promote him to OC. If we want real change on the offensive staff we need to bring in coaches outside of the program.
  19. Ravioli is his favorite Thanksgiving food? That should've been a red flag right there.
  20. That’s what I thought. I was more concerned with the possibility of big offensive staff changes affecting Bijan Robinson or JQJ’s commitments. But that being said you have to balance recruiting ability with coaching ability. It doesn’t matter how great the players you recruit are if the coaches aren’t able to put them in positions to be successful and can’t develop them.
  21. How does NSD1 affect these types of potential staff changes? Would those happen after NSD1 or after the game against Tech?
