  1. “Proud of how our guys fought” Something about “our development as a program” and being able to win even when we don’t play our best “*loud gulping water sound*” Did I miss any?
  2. My personal favorite was when Kansas kicked it out of bounds and Brooks suggested they were doing it on purpose. I mean, it’s not like we have Devin Hester back there returning kicks.
  3. Reporter: "How much of it is fixable?" TH: "All of it." Well then why the fuck is it not fixed? We're in week 8 of the season and have been regressing since Okie St.
  4. Is Chris Ash still in town? He couldn't possibly be worse
  5. First year was the playoff loss to Georgia. He fired Stoops halfway through his 2nd year.
  6. I could see this as either we come out on a war path and easily cover or we get up big enough to put Casey and some of the backups in, offense completely turtles, and Kansas makes it within 2-3 touchdowns
  7. I was lurking on Cowboys Zone and another name they were talking about besides Riley was Dan Campbell. Evidently there’s some belief that IF there was an opening he’d be one of the top choices from current NFL assistants. But a few of them also mentioned Urban Meyer so I don’t know
  8. I think it was Falcons and Ravens after the 2007 season
  9. With all the talk on Riley how well do y’all think his system would translate to the NFL? Do y’all think the idea that Air Raid offenses won’t translate to the NFL is a bit of a misnomer?
  10. This is 100% speculative, but Riley is from Texas and was in Middle and High School during the 90s run, so it's completely reasonable that this is a dream job for that kind of person. Especially compared to any other NFL opening. But that being said, OU would be able to probably match any salary Jerry offered, so it would come down to if he wants to strike while the iron is hot and go to the NFL or stay in college. I'm not sure how well his scheme would translate to the NFL but I'd take it over what Garrett and Co. have been running
  11. To be fair Riley does that to almost any DC he faces. He’s one of the best offensive minds in the game today. Still doesn’t excuse our tackling issues but schematically Riley is a savant.
  12. Kellen still had the playsheets and was constantly talking into the headset on offense while Garrett was standing there arms crossed but then Romo was saying the offense resembled the 2007-09 offense, so I don’t know if Garrett is limiting what plays Kellen can call or what. There has been some speculation that Garrett intervened and tried to simplify the offense before the New Orleans game since that was Moore’s first game calling plays in such an intense environment. It would make sense since the offense hasn’t looked the same since that game.
  13. Exactly. Dak isn’t a generational QB like Brady or Manning, but he’s got the tools to lead an effective offense. It’s not like we’re trotting Luke Falk out there. If he was in a different system that actually utilized his strengths or was at all creative it’d be a different ballgame. Romo carried this offense so much that Garrett is actually convinced the scheme isn’t the problem but the truth is Romo was able to make the scheme “work” more or less, not vice-versa. Maybe I’m a bad fan but I’m resigned to the fact that we will never accomplish anything meaningful with Garrett as Head Coach.
  14. When were the flags for the IHTTF penalties actually thrown? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember them being thrown close to the end of the play when the result of the play was evident
  15. Aggy = XFLU. Time to print the shirts
  16. This is the kind of game where we shut down Pooka and everybody acts like Orlando and gang fixed our defensive woes only for us to come out and play like crap the next week against TCU
  17. I like Mason Crosby because he's from Georgetown, but if he somehow shanks this I wouldn't be upset. Lions have gotten shafted all night by the zebras
  18. Booger about to have an aneurysm here with the Hands to the Face calls. That was a bad one
  19. Tess is equally grating but in a different way. This entire crew is way behind NBC, CBS, and Fox's number 1 broadcast teams
  20. It's stupid to me that a 5-yard penalty on 3rd and 10 like Illegal Hands to the Face results in an automatic first down. Why couldn't it just result in a 5-yard penalty and replay the down?
  21. The 49ers are missing their 2 starting tackles and are the only undefeated team in the NFC. The big difference between us and the 49ers is coaching. Shanahan is Isaac Newton compared to Garrett. If we lose to the Eagles this week I wouldn't be surprised if Marinelli gets fired or Garrett completely take over offensive playcalling in an attempt to scapegoat someone (i.e., Moore or Marinelli)
