  1. This. Just looking at everything that’s gone on over the last year or so regarding coaches, athletic department management, and facilities, everything has been screaming that we were anticipating this move. I’m just grabbing a tub of popcorn and enjoying the show because the aggy meltdown is too great to pass up.
  2. Will give 1775 a try. Will report back.
  3. What can I say. I'm a jack of all trades.
  4. Any recs for Bryan/CS? Heading there next week for work.
  5. I opted out as we want the entire credit when I go to file in 2022 (if we even get a credit at all). Still got payment as the deadline to not get a payment was July 2nd. Did a little bit more digging and apparently both you and your spouse have to opt out separately. It took me an hour or so to opt out as there was a queue to verify my identity via video call with an IRS contractor. Such a pain in the ass.
  6. Also ask him why he tortured that cow by smoking that brisket for 36 hours.
  7. I'd like someone to clarify this for me. Heard about it on the news and don't have a dog in the fight. I've heard: Republicans are wanting to essentially repeal the extended measures Texas instituted last year during corona regarding voting. Dems don't want to so they flee the state (which happened in 2003?) and go to DC until the special session ends. Dems then come back to Texas and Wheels will call another special session to vote for it and we're essentially stuck in a stalemate right? I've heard included in this bill is ending drive by voting, having to request an absentee/vote by mail ballet, some ID for mail in ballets, and rolling back extended early voting times to pre-pandemic levels. Weren't most of these instituted due to corona? That the meat of it?
  8. Did two pork butts, a rack of beef ribs and pork belly burnt ends yesterday. Pic taken around 2 PM. Put on pork belly at 4 and forgot to take a pic. It was a good day. Used by FIL’s Traeger grill. I’ve started cooking pork butts for pulled pork to over 200 lately as I think it pulls easier and tastes better than cooking them to 195 or so. Aggy BIL showed up with leftover oven cooked brisket. Needless to say nobody ate that shit.
  9. Pretty sure Kerstetter is on the leadership council, no?
  10. Jesus. I thought I was a cheap ass for passing on $8.99/lb for prime beef ribs at HEB yesterday. Wanted to grab an extra rack for this weekend and just keep my rack I have in the freezer. For that price, I'll just thaw these out. On another note, just got myself half a cow. Will be ready 7/15. Only had to pay for my half of the butchering.
  11. Costco League City and Costco Greenway in Houston both had Prime Brisket for $4.99 per pound on Sunday/Monday of this week.
  12. I’ve got a Traeger pellet grill ($650 from Costco) and I built a drum smoker about 6 months ago. Drum smoker is amazing and cost me about $100 to build. Traeger is nice because I can just set it and forget it. Smoke flavor from drum is great for long cooks. If I’m grilling something over 2 hours, I’ll use the drum. For less than 2 hours, I’ll use the Traeger.
  13. Agree with you there. Don’t think the big supermajors are going to go balls to the walls spending a shit ton of money right now. They’re leaning up and going to print money.
  14. Just got the letter from SBA for my company's $2.4 mil loan. 100% forgiven. Applied first round in April 2020 and submitted forgiveness 11/30/2020. Did not apply second round.
  15. A lot of large companies do this, even outside of O&G. This is standard practice in big 4 public accounting.
  16. I hope this is the case as I wasn't impressed with Pinkerton's when I went a few weeks ago.
  17. More of that please. And more of the top 2nd please. thanks.
  18. Elizabeth Warren thinks they are and should be taxed as such.
  19. Stock options to the beneficiary aren’t realized income until the options are exercised. The options literally sit there and have no value until they are exercised. Now, do you want the beneficiary to be taxed based on the unrealized value as of 12/31? That would created a deferred tax liability that you have to carry forward to the next year (assuming the option is > 1 year in length). What happens if the stock price is less than the strike price of the option at the next year end? One would then need to reverse the deferred tax liability and take a credit on the next tax return. Point is: you can’t tax on unrealized gains without creating certain tax credits.
  20. Fuck that bitch ass USF player talking shit when he hit that game tying homer. Eat crow you piece of shit.
  21. Why fly a real airline when I can fly my wife for free everywhere I go? Air travel is a commodity. I fly first or business if I travel internationally. Domestic - SWA.
