  1. Keto helped me lose 120 pounds over the course of about 9 months. Transitioned to lower fat, higher carbs and protein to lose the last 10. Clean carbs though. Also did OMAD and still do. Easier for me to maintain my weight if I only eat once a day.
  2. Depends on how lean of red meat you're eating. Chuck 80/20? Pass. Filet or NY Strip? All day long. Just stick to meat (chicken, turkey, lean beef or wild game) and eat green veggies. Cut out the snacking. If you're trying to do low carb, cut out the berries/fruit and eat peanuts/almonds if you have to have a snack. You'd be surprised at how much weight you can lose quickly if you cut out snacking and stopped eating fruits. Fruits have sugar (even though it's unprocessed) and have a shitton of carbs. Also, don't drink calories. Sparkling water, water, black coffee, zero calorie powerade/gatorade.
  3. I lost 8 pounds when I had covid and got to 177. Not good. Appetite is back and I'm about to start going back to the gym with my rona antibodies.
  4. Are you exercising? What's wrong with red meat? Worried about cholesterol?
  5. I'd second that one. Owner is a guy who also owns a plumbing business who did some commercial work for my dad when he owned his restaurant. Posados on Gentry is surprisingly decent. My dad's old restaurant, too.
  6. My folks and in laws live in Tyler. I grew up there. I believe we have a few other folks who live there currently on the site. @dcbc comes to mind. Bruno's is good. They have two locations. South Tyler location on Old Jacksonville Hwy is the newer of the two. Jucy's is a good burger and they have a few locations as well. Don Juan's is my favorite tex-mex place but Jalapeno Tree on the Loop isn't too bad. Taqueria El Lugar is legit as well. Never had Stanley's but heard it's good.
  7. I know. I was being sarcastic.
  8. He's made it his goal to be 5% body fat. I'm not a college athlete, but I find it hard to believe that being that low in body fat can be a good thing for football players.
  9. Started to slowly get my sense of smell back yesterday. Taste is still a bit off. Glad this thing didn’t totally kick my ass. Feel better than I have today in the last 10 days combined.
  10. Finally starting to feel a bit better today. Took a little over a week. Smell and taste is still screwed up but not feeling as tired and worn down as I did last week.
  11. My son was exposed to two teachers who tested positive. He was exposed to them on 1/8 and 1/11. They tested positive on the 12th and was sent home. He started showing symptoms the 14th and tested positive on the 15th. My wife started showing symptoms on the 20th and tested positive the 22nd. I started feeling shitty and tested positive on the 23rd.
  12. My folks and aunt got their second shots yesterday. My dad had no reaction at all. My mom felt off all day and actually spent most of the day in bed today. Thankful they got their second (In Tyler - Smith County).
  13. Day 5 or 6 at this point. Body aches are gone, just now fatigued. Fever is gone for the most part but everything feels like a chore. Head fog is pretty bad. Taste is completely gone, smell is hit or miss. I feel just really tired.
  14. He running an AMD or Nvidia card? If AMD, go in to the Radeon software and see if Enhanced Sync is turned on. If it’s on, turn it off. Ive has the same issue with my GPU and turning off enhanced sync fixed my issues.
  15. Both, but more of the fact that because someone treats their body like shit and doesn’t take care of themselves moves them past people that are 60 years old and have taken care of themselves their entire life. Same thing with smokers being able to bypass healthy people. The 1B classification is just fucked up in my opinion.
  16. It's best if I keep my opinion to myself on this one.
  17. Question for the docs in this thread: I currently have Covid. I know I shouldn’t be concerned with getting the vaccine now but should I take it eventually or am I good? I know the risk of reinfection is very low. My wife, who has it as well, thinks that we should still get vaccinated whenever we can. Just trying to see if there’s any research done on if the vaccine provides any benefit to people who have already had Covid. Seems like the body made antibodies are better than the antibodies created via vaccine. Is this correct or am I off?
  18. Had the worst ones last night. I actually had to move to the guest bed. No fever this AM though. Actually feeling a bit better honestly. Also, taste and smell completely fucked:
  19. Thanks for the well wishes guys. We appreciate it. Hopefully my immune system kicks covid’s ass and I’ll be back to normal in a week.
  20. Traylor's brother isn't the head coach at Lee any longer, just looked it up. While he may be a good coach, I think he'll get his shot at a position coach at a P5 within the next few years, maybe an OC spot. I just don't see him jumping straight to the HC of a P5 from UTSA.
  21. Traylor was the head coach at Gilmer I believe before Charlie hired him. I believe Traylor's brother is or was the head coach at Robert E. Lee (now Tyler Legacy). It's all about keeping that access in my opinion.
  22. If you do buy it, you're going to need to clean it and burn it in about 5 times to make sure the dick residue is gone.
  23. 100.7 this morning when I woke up. Feels like I’ve been in a head on collision. Woke up multiple times last night completely drenched in sweat. I stood in the scalding hot shower last night for 20 minutes and was still shivering. Thankfully I can breathe fine.
  24. I just want to say one more time in case you guys didn’t know: Fuck Aaron Rodgers.
  25. Tom Brady is the best to ever play in the NFL. Doesn’t matter how old he is or who he’s playing for. He will always be the best to ever step on that field.
